Government Affairs Vice President Job Questions & Answers

Mexico , South America, Central America, and Quebec are all Catholic. That is OK cause Catholics are Christians. But in the USA there is an influx of Catholics from Mexico legal and illegal. There are no Protestants on the Supreme Court, which only has Catholics and Jews. The Protestants could move North to Canada, but is that not under Britain? Most Catholic countries are poor. We need to pay the debt and balance the US budget. So we need elements that produce wealth and jobs. Santorum and Gingrich are both Catholic. Some Republicans want to make Marcus Rubio , another Catholic ,the Vice President. In Europe the Catholics and Protestants were adversaries. Even till recently in Ireland there was war between the Protestants and Catholics. Not that Catholics are not good people. They are. But the point is we need to have balance. Like it or not, it was the Protestants who brought freedom etc to America and established it here and for the rest of the world. Not that the Protestants are perfect or anything like that. The only Protestants running are Ron Paul a Baptist and Romney , a Mormon . Neither of these has allegiance to someone outside of the Republic of these United States. So I think Protestants need to look more seriously at their GOP Presidential choices or other choices. They need to vote Protestant. And next time Protestants need to run more Protestants for Congress and other positions. Wake up Protestants. One third of all US Catholics vote GOP. Two thirds of US Catholics vote Democrat.

Responsibility for the oil spill falls squarely on the shoulders of the government of the US. The government refuses to take accountability and enforce any kind of regulations on big business be it oil or banking or what have you. These things will only continue to get worse as long as the government allows big business to run the country. Big business has big businesses interests at heart, not the overall society's. That is the mission of business and it is mission of the government to maintain order and fair play and safety while business competes. If this is not the governments fault, then there is no purpose to government. It is their job to keep companies in check and make sure they do not ruin things for the whole of society and they are dropping the ball "left" and "right". And they've even been able to convince most Americans it's a good thing the government does nothing! Why do people not demand the government take responsibility right now? If your house was on fire and the fire department was sitting around telling you it's somebody else's problem would you sit there or demand action right now? How is this different? Why is no one demanding more from the government right now? 2 months ago? In 2009, the Obama administration intervened to support the reversal of a court order that would have halted offshore oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. Obama’s Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, who has long had close ties to the industry, specifically cited BP’s Deepwater Horizon operation as one that should be allowed to go forward, according to a group involved in the court case. http://www.wsws.org/articles/2010/may201…

Socialized healthcare is a terrible mistake but so many people seem enamoured of it or a government ran socialized health insurance. Why don't people understand that this will drive up the costs for everyone and make it more difficult to obtain? People in Canada cross the border into the U.S. daily to use our healthcare system and people in Great Britain die waiting for Cat scans. Socialism has never worked; yet many people here seem to think it's the way to go.
