I'm a teenager still looking for potential careers. I've always been fascinated with medicine, and I recently learned about anesthesiologists. The average pay (200-300 grand a year) and my presumed idea of what the career involves seems very interesting to me, but I can't find much information on the specifics of what they actually do. Does anyone know the basic (and extended, if possible) duties of an anesthesiologist? Personal experience would be best but if you find stats online I'll take those too. Thanks.

Im worried whether i should become an anesthesiologist for the time it takes to become one and the time it takes to cover the costs of their tuition loans. I understand it depends on the college but lets assume it costs 40 k a year after undergraduate.

I've been wanting to go into the medical career. Looking into the careers, I'm most interested in being an anesthesiologist. But, I'm still in high school. What am I going to need to study extra hard in to prepare for it? Also, how many years of college will be required? What will they be? How much is the average salary? Thanks go out in advance to anyone that can answer all these questions!

I'm planning to attend a college that offers Air Force ROTC and graduate as a second lieutenant. However, I'd like to know what kind of jobs would be available to me once I do graduate. Could I be a doctor? If so, would I have to go to med school at some point? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I understand that anesthesiologist hopefuls have to go through 12 long years of education. I ask, is it worth it? I have a large interest in the medical field and this specialty looks appealing. I also hear that anesthesiologists work very long hours. Can I get some clarification on this? How exactly do the hours work? Will I have enough time for leisure and time for family in this field? Sorry for the spelling of "are" by the way in the title.

Also, what is moonlighting? I have heard the term but I don't understand what it is... Anything will help, thank you!
