My husband and I live in the Great North West (or as I like to call it, the "Gray North Wet" and we hate it here because it is so expensive to live here (thank you Microsoft). My husband is currently getting his training to become a certified medical assistant. So we are trying to find out where in the country there would be the most job opportunities. I like the Omaha, NE area because unemployment is at 4.5 there, but the snow... lol. Any and all suggestions are really appreciated!

I am currently a student in Job Corps and joined the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant trade in mid-November. The trade is fairly new on campus, it just started a month before I became a part of it. We have yet to get all the equipment, which will obviously make this trade go on longer. But when we actually do get everything that’s needed, how long will it to finish?

I am a certified Medical assistant and member of the AAMA. I was wondering if it would be in my best interest to also take the certification test for Phlebotomy Technician? I already draw blook and give injections at my present job at an internal med practice but would like to expand my knowledge and possibly work for a hospital or a blood bank. Would it change my pay scale to have both certifications?

I have recently graduated and I am a certified medical assistant. I have always wanted a very small nose stud and my family finally agreed they would be ok with it. However I am looking for a job and don't think it would look very professional. Is there any way to make it look less noticible during the healing time until I can change it to a clear stud?

1. I am thinking about getting certified as a Medical Assistant in order to put myself through further schooling. Would this be possible? 2. How much does it cost to take the classes? 3. What kind of opportunities are offered internationally for this job? 4. Are there any options for promotion or salary upgrade as a Medical Assistant? 5. What are the hours like? 6. Anything else I should consider? Thanks. Please note I am talking about medical assisting, not nurse's assistants.

What jobs would I qualify for if I get certified as a medical assistant besides medical assistant? My brother's professor says I could qualify for nurse's aid also along with medical assistant. What else? What is the job demand for medical assistant? What does the class require? Does this skill transfer easily country to country (say I qualify in the US, will such qualifications be accepted in Europe?) or just within the US? Answer what questions you can best to your knowledge. I know these question are broad, but that is because I know little. The more information I know, the more defined and detailed further questions will be. I thank you for your assistance ahead of time. Thank you and have a nice day.

Hello. I am currently about to be enrolled in a Certified Medical Assistant course. It will be approximately 12 weeks or so and then I fully intend to find a job. However For many years I always wanted to be a body piercer (not a tattoo artist) and still would like to someday and was wondering if a background in medical assistance would help to qualify me to apprentice as a body piercer somewhere or if I would still have to take body piercing course.
