 | I have a real passion for helping people change their lives, and offering suggestions & resources to them. I want to establish a social services firm to serve people who are in need of these services (such as counseling, job training, and resource connections), and then expand. Many corporations seem to be more concerned about the bottom line than the people they serve. I don't want to be like that. I want to offer affordable, accesible social services for people, but I am concerned about profit. How does one balance the needs of their clients with the desire for good profit?

 | Here is the situation, I have been offered a school counseling job that is split between two schools. One is about 45 minutes away, but the other is over an hour away (maybe an hour and fifteen minutes). I cannot move because of my husband's job. Would you drive this far?

| I'm a teen coming from a single parent home and I was wondering if there was a counseling or therapy job I could go to college for so that I could deal with kids/teens living in single parent homes.  | I want to do something different this summer and i have been looking online for a job where I can travel to and work with housing. Does anyone have any ideas or websites on which I can go to. I haave been trying to get a camp counseling job but its a little too late, according to two camps I tried. I also looked into the disney program but it didn't appeal to me. For example some hotels and resorts have this program but I cant find more information and listings . Any help is greatly appreciated.

| I first wanted to be a school couselor but I want to work with younger kids and I hear its harder to find a school counseling job in elementary. Since you have many different options in social work I want to try that but will I have a good chance of finding a job in a school?

| I am looking to pursue a career in mental health counseling, my interest in career choice's are open but not limited to marriage/family counselor, educational counselor, behavioral counselor, child protection worker, guidance counselor... or something along those lines. I have researched and found that a masters in psychology can be of help with many jobs of this kind, though I have also read that degrees in sociology, counseling, education, health sciences, social work, child and family development, are great choices for some counseling jobs as well. So I want to know if I could get for example, a associates in sociology (or one of the others listed) a bachelors in child and family development (or one of the others listed) and my masters in psychology if this would help me at all? All answers will help and would be appreciated, I just want to know the best degree choices for mental health counseling jobs...Thanks

| Does one need a CDAC license to work in addiction, or can someone with a masters in counseling get a job with an organization and work in addiction? My hope is to obtain an LPC after I complete my masters program but I think about working with addiction in addition to other things. I don't want to limit myself or my training.

| I really like working with people in stress and depression and telling them how to get out of it, although if im going to go through college I want to make it worth it maybe about a 6 figure income, can anyone help me with what degrees to get what type of jobs there are with this work related field and the average salary, a list of related jobs would really help.
