 | I know I will have to start out as an adult echocardiography tech but, what degree should I go for school to become that? Which one would be the best?
I looked up ultrasound/sonography schools but a lot of different names for degree programs came up. I don't want to go to school for the wrong degree or a degree that won't get me where I want to go.

 | I'm interested in being an ultrasound technician, but it seems it may also be called diagnostic medical sonography? I've been trying google but it's confusing me. So whats the difference?
Also, any tips to get started in that field? i've been looking up ultrasound tech schools, would i just enroll in that after i get my A.A.?
Ok thank you! So I would just do general, cardiac or vascular?

 | I have a question about the nature of the job- For those who have been doing either one of these for a long amount of time or even for a few years, have you experienced any health effects? Like musculoskeletal disorders or eye problems, etc??? And if you have are they treatable problems?? Thanks!

 | I am an 18 year old interested in going into the medical field once I graduate. I am currently in a Health Sciences class through a program at my school. We recently watched a movie on radiology and as I have not been sure of what I want to do in the medical field, this video made me think more of maybe becoming an ultrasound technician. If you know any information on the duties, or if you are one yourself, could you give me a description of what you have to do? What kinds of roles are involved rather than looking at pregnant women (the most common one people know of.) What kind of schooling do you need to go through in order to be one? Any information you think would be helpful is great! Thank you!

 | I was just wondering because i know cardiac techs make more but they do the same thing an EKG tech does . The hierarchy is......
Cardiovascular Technologist
Cardiac Technician
EKG Technician
Are Cardiac Techs in demand and whats the point of being an EKG tech when cardiac techs make more. How much will i be making a every two weeks if I go to school to become a Cardiac tech?

I have a current job opportunity as a Research Technician performing echo measurements for clinical studies at my current employer. I want to be ARDMS certified one day. Should I take this route to get into echo or should i just go back to school? Looking to run my own imaging/stress lab one day.

 | Please give me a good answer! I'm trying to decide on whether I should study to be an Ultrasound Technician in college. Oh and also.. if I do decide to study Ultrasonography in college, can I just tell them that I only want to study Sonography in the pregnancy area instead of every department that Sonography offers?

 | When all they basically do is the same thing a cardiac technician does which is non-invasive diagnostic procedures such as holter monitoring, stress testing, ekg and interpretation and echocardiography. and the cardiac technician earns 60 grand for the same job
