 | I'm thinking of becoming a Healthcare assistant/ auxiliary nurse in the City General (North Staffordshire) can someone give me some advice how to get there. I've checked the NHS job website but can't find anything is there a number that I can phone to get advice within that area or any agencies that supply hospital staff ?

 | I'm a college student who got talked into doing a CNA certification program so that I could earn a reasonable wage while I finish college (I'm not planning on going into healthcare but I'm a compassionate person and I think I could do it as a part time school-job)
anyway I don't really have any relevant experience, my last job as a pizza delivery driver, so a resume would be a stretch for me, but I heard that a nursing assistant job at a nursing home is a very "entry level" position so resumes are essentially unnecessary and even considered overkill
is this true? if anyone has cna experience I would greatly appreciate your response, thanks

 | I applied for a trainee healthcare assistant role at my local NHS hospital 2 weeks ago and I'm a little impatient when it comes to hearing back from these things. I have looked online but it seems to be conflicted...Have any of you applied for a job through NHS jobs and how long did the whole process take? i.e. getting back to you, getting an interview, getting your start date. Thanks

 | I am a first year nursing student and i havent been on placement yet, but ive heard people saying that it would be a good idea to perhaps woprk as a health care assistant on a temporary basis so i can get to work with registered nurses.
Would this be a good idea though as i have no medical/nursing experience and i will be going on my first placement in august which will last for 8 weeks.

 | I have been looking online, and generally looking about, but where would be the best place to find the job? Will ringing up a hospital and asking if they have any vacancies or anyone they can direct me to help?
I have little physical training (I am hoping to learn from the job), but I have finished my GCSE and A Levels. A lots of jobs I've looked at don't want me as I am unexperienced.

 | I am 18 studying my last year A-levels and I currently have a job as a Healthcare Assistant within the NHS as a bank (calling in for hours)
I have been attending my training (paid) and they deducted 40?f my wages towards income tax and NI which I know of. At the end of the month, they will return to me the rest of the 40?I haven't reached to the point yet)
If I don't earn more than £8000 a year, how will I get my tax back? Do I fill in a form or do they refund the money back at the end of the year automatically?
Thanks

 | In your opinion, do you think a degree in business is better than a degree in medicine/health? What jobs are available to me with a degree in business? Can i find a high paying job with a BA in business, or is a higher degree of education required? In general, do people with degrees in health/medicine make more than do people with business degrees?

 | I am thinking of switching out of the university of alberta to go into the Legal Assistant program at Grant Mac, and i was wondering if anyone had done this program and has some feedback? Any thoughts?
Also, in regards to the answer i have already received, i am not planning on going to law school/ being a lawyer. I am not looking for career advice, i am simply wondering what people think of the specific Grant MacEwan program, and if anyone has experience with that specific program.

 | I have well over what any program wants in healthcare experience for physician assistant master's degree I am trying to get into. Does anyone know if they will question why you stopped working in healthcare to switch to something a little more trivial? I need money to move out and the hospital pay isn't cutting it. Do you think at the interview they ask why you don't work in healthcare currently or do they just want to see that you have those hours at one time or another?
