I graduated last year with an associates in medical assisting and still have not found a job. I live in a small town, with all small towns around it. I look in all the local papers, and job posting websites and nothing. Would it be ok to just make up a cover letter and resume and mail it to all the doctors offices in the area? Or should I go in and hand it to them in person. I know a lot of the offices are busy, so I wouldn't want to make them mad by going in while they were busy. Thanks!

I am suppose to start in 2 weeks. I was reading reviews just about the school. Many of the reviews were bad. But I would like to know how specifically the medical assisting program is. Do you think you learned enough? Was it worth the money? Were you able to get a job after graduating? Any information would be nice. I dont want to go through all the and waste money or anything. Most of all do you believe it is worth it. Thanks =) By the way I will be doing the night classes.

I'm 19 years old. I've been working at Wendy's for a little over a year now and I'm tired of it. I'm currently attending school for Medical Assisting. I just want to know if I am going to be able to live comfortably after I graduate and get a job. I don't have any kids or anything pretty much just me. I also was thinking about continuing my education to Physician's Assistant a few years after I'm an established MA. Good idea, or no?

I completed my Medical Assisting program, still haven't found a job and I failed my certification test twice already. I did well during school and was so confident I was prepared for the test. However 90?f the questions were not congruent to what was in the official NCCT study guide which I paid for. I have been studying my medical assisting book but I just want to find a guide that will focus on the most relevant questions that I will see on the test.
