I am thinking about placing an application to be a medical biller. I have never done a medical billing before. Would I have to deal with patient in a doctor's office? Do this usually takes place in a doctor's office? Are you in a small little room just doing billing and making phone calls? Thank you for any information or advice.

I have license to work as a medical biller specialist. But all the jobs I've applied for ask me for 2 years of experience. How can I work as a medical biller if I don't have experience. Should I change my career?

I'm thinking of going back to school to go into the medical field because I know those are the jobs that are probably the most secure in this tough economy. I know that I'm not a really compassionate person so I know I wouldn't be very good with patients so I was wondering if a medical biller/coder is a job that would probably be for me. How much do they make? How long do you have to go to school for this? Thanks for your help.

I will be a nationally certified Medical Biller/Coder next year. I am looking for Medical Billing/Coding Positions in the NYC area around July 2013. ( I know this is a little early, just being proactive here.) What is the best job searching site for this? Is there anyone in Medical Administration that could give me any insight as to the places that would be hiring around that time? Thanks again!

Is it possible for a medical biller to get promoted to a higher position/job? What is the highest salary possible for a medical biller in Los Angeles, or in general? I am going to community college to pursue a different career because I found something more interesting but also, a $30,000 salary is not much unless you are married to someone who makes a lot more.

I have a bachelor's degree in economics. It seems like a two year technical career would have been much more practical. Anyway, I work in a hospital following up with uninsureed patients/patients who have several possible payors. I would like to be a medical biller. Tips?

I have a degree in BSC Corporate management and am now studying a certificate program as a medical biller and coder (no job experience though). Obviously, "insurance companies" pop out all the time while studying to be a coder and led me to think of the job opportunities there (at the other side of the fence, if you may). Aside from the usual Insurance Agent (that's responsible for insurance sales), what other jobs can I get without going through another certificate program and what does those jobs entail and there estimated salary? Thanks.
