I have arthritis in my hands and want to learn to use voice recognition software to avoid typing so much. I also want to find a job in the healthcare area, such as a medical billing specialist or something similar. Would it be possible to use speech-to-text software in this arena or a closely related one?

Just curious? I have to sit this Fall semester out and wait until spring to start at a community college and at first i was so thrilled to look into Vocational schools but then i seen many, many, and many awful reviews about Concorde, UEI, American Career, Everest, and all those other schools that promise you degree in less than a year. So i was just wondering if it is possible to get a job as a medical billing specialist with a high school diploma?

After being trained and certified, is it possible to work from home full-time as a Medical Billing/Coding Specialist? I read that I'd have to work as an office employee for 4-5 years, at least, for the same company before they would allow someone to work from home part-time or full-time. Is this true? Also, where can I find such jobs. Thanks.

I received something from motherhood maternity, working from home as a medical claims and billing specialist? I have kids and was wondering if anyone has done this type of work and what it's like? I looked up the school and you receive a certificate once the courses are completed and can finish in as little as 4 months I believe. The school has been in business for 30 yrs and very reputable, I even looked it up in the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating.

I'm currently in school studying for my associate's in medical billing and coding. I'll graduate with honors in May, and at the end of this month I'll be certified in IT for Healthcare, and ICD-9. But I'm concerned because every job posting I look at wants someone with 1-5 years experience! How can I get a job in this field with no experience? Will my education put me above the other applicants. Was it hard to find a job with no experience? I do have healthcare experience, just not in coding.
