I have ten years banking teller experience. I have an excellent work history. However, due to my husband's nearly year-long unemployment 5 years ago, and the resulting loss of health insurance, I have several medical collections, and 3 other collections on my history. That didn't stop Wachovia from hiring me, but all they did was a criminal background check. Now I need a job, and I'm scared I won't get a banking job now.
I have an interview for medical collections. I really need a job .And always freeze up when asked do you have any questions for me. Any tips to land a position would be great Thanks.
Do medical coders / billers in medical offices do collection and follow up? What are the differences among these job duties?
I'm a young college student with a tons of unpaid bills ranging from 300-2,000.00 for medical, collections. I cannot afford to pay them as I only make little money from work-study of $280 a month or 2200 for the school year.
I wonder if I should file bankruptcy or suffer??? Please help.
These bills are not for student loans they are for phone bills with verizon, att, Medical, and credit cards.
I am thinking about placing an application to be a medical biller. I have never done a medical billing before. Would I have to deal with patient in a doctor's office? Do this usually takes place in a doctor's office? Are you in a small little room just doing billing and making phone calls?
Thank you for any information or advice.
I'm applying as an ASM at starbucks and they require a credit check with the background check. I recently had a couple of medical bills go into collections due to my husbands loss of a job :( will starbucks still hire me even if my credit score is low? I know they aren't allowed to view just the score. All 3 of my interviews went extremely well and I don't want to lose out on this opportunity.
I just paid about $10,000 of my debt off a few months ago and i have about $3,000 left to pay in medical debt (which is in collection). I just lost my job and i was wondering if i can apply for a government program that will help me to get rid of just the medical portion of my debt?
WHat is the job like? How difficult is the job?
What if I don't remember some of the terms that I memorized?
I have some medical bills in collections right now and I was wondering how long they stay on my credit report after I pay them. I also lost my job and I am behind on my credit card. If I pay it off when I get my taxes done when will that come off. And also will it always say that I was behind?
I just got a letter in the mail from a collections company for a medical bill from an injury I received on the job over 2 years ago. The main issue here is that the restaurant where I was injured is no longer open and one of the owner's is dead. His wife was the other owner, and as of right now I have no idea how to contact her. I got a bill in the mail back then and spent some time on the phone with the hospital's billing department as well as my former boss and the situation ended up with the hospital saying not to worry, that I wouldn't have to pay for it. And then today I get this letter from the collections agency saying I owe $500. Any ideas on what to do?
I'm interested in working with children. So i was wondering what are the different kind of jobs are in a childrens hospital.
What Do I do if my local hospital sent the bill to the totally wrong address and put me on collection? I never received the bill being it was sent to wrong address and the hospital admits that but according to them now I should deal with collection agency. Please advise me if there is any law which will protect me because it was a hospital mistake. Also I want to pay this bill if hospital will take it but I don't want to deal with collection agency and don't want to ruin my credit.
Back in 2008 i racked up 50,000$ in medical bills from an illness. I paid what i could but ended up with a judgment against me for 4500$ which i paid. Three of my bills ended up in collections because i simply couldn't afford to make payments to all the seperate bills which are seperate companies. I owe 6000 still. I want to buy a house in the next few years. My credit score is 650 with good payment history. I make 50000$ a year and have had my job for 11 years at same company. Should i try and get a personal loan to get rid of these collections?
I am seriously thinking about going back to school and was wondering if you all could help me think of jobs an anthropologist major might qualify for, outside of teaching?
I have 3 closed credit card accounts, 1 medical collection and couple miscellaneous collections. Yes, I know. I should have paid my bills, I should have got a 2nd job. I definitely regret this now. I was 19 and had no idea how to manage money. Now I'm 8 years older, a mom and I want to be able to fix my credit.
Do I start paying on the old credit card debt or do I let it go? If I start paying on it, will that start my time over again or does it look better that I DID pay off my old debt. Please help...
I live in Orlando Florida and I'm a student on the waiting list to get into the Nursing program. What jobs or areas can I go to apply in my field with out having my liscence. Instead of jobs like retail.
Over the years I've racked up a ton of medical bills do to my hypochondria. I don't have a job and all of these bills have been handed over to debt collection agencies. I don't know how much I owe, but it's several thousand at least. Anyway, will these bills eventually expire on their own?
What if I change my number and move and not update my informatoin? Can they do anything about that?
Ok, I am graduating in May '08, as an Anthropolgy major, minor in Religious Studies. I have no idea where to look for a job in my field, I am not planning on going to graduate school right away, I need to start paying my student loans back ASAP! I have asked my professors but no one has given me a solid answer. My main study of interest include, Egypt, and religion practiced all over the world, both ancient and present. So where or how do I start my career?
Cleveland State University just has Anthropology as a major, it isn't divided by cultural or phsical.
I want to work at a vet clinic to gain experience while saving money to become a vet tech or assistant. I was wondering do clinics have jobs for non-degree people.
