 | What are some entry level careers, needing no or little training, in the medical/healthcare field that have a lot of room for advancement. I am looking for a job that has a lot of continued training certificates/degrees that I can work on while working in the industry in the meantime.

 | I am thinking about going back to school in the fall to begin training for a new career in the medical/healthcare field. Can anyone please give me some info on different options (nurse, x-ray tech, mri tech, etc, etc, etc) and what they involve and what they pay? I am not sure exactly what field I would like to get into and what is involved with each field. I am also wondering what has the best job outlook and what pay scale to expect for different things. Thanks!

 | I know, I know, I should have tried medical/healthcare fields. However, ochem ruined my GPA and made me hate science forever. I was always an economics major (I love economics...I would love to just major in it but no jobs..) but chose computer science because it was the only engineering type field I could get decent grades in (mostly B's a few A's...2 C's...) I'm a third year student. I know I have to go to grad school (I sort of want to go to grad school in comp sci, but my comp sci major average is like a 3.2...not particularly good, my econ average is like a 3.6(upper level courses for both)..overall GPA is like a 3.4...not the best student..i know..i fail. anyway. thoughts?

 | I heard you won't get job interviews on visit visa, so i am thinking to take an AZAD visa or technical visa of about 1-2 years validity and go looking, searching for a job.
What other things are involved. Tips Please.

 | I have a friend who lost her job earlier this year. Along with her job, she lost her health insurance. She has found out that she is pregnant and therefore needs medical care ASAP but cannot afford an independant health plan. Is there anything she can do or anywhere she can go? Does she qualify for any free medical healthcare? How can she get it? Thanks!

Any ideas? I thought about a receptionist at a doctor's office.....

 | I'm a Pre-Healthcare student at a four-year university and I'm looking for ways to get my foot in the door of the hospital or clinical setting. I've done a little shadowing but I live a good distance from suburban areas so I've been hesitant to spend a lot of gas money on driving for simple, not-very-useful volunteer experience (giving water to patients, etc.) Any ideas would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

 | I know the quick ones don't make a lot of money, but I'm tired of the retail field! I'm going to start online classes to work toward a BS in Medical Imaging Technology but I still need to work while I do that schooling. I also know it will be helpful to get some patient care experience.
As far as I can tell, Phlebotomy looks like the fastest with a 12wk course.
All suggestions are appreciated :)

 | I am in college and really wanting to decide on a major. I love the atmosphere of medical offices and hospitals. But, I am limited because I use a walker. I am pretty fast on it but I do not believe that I could stand on my feet all day to be a nurse. I have cerebral palsy. What are some healthcare degree options for me?

 | Looking to work on the office side of the medical field. Interested in healthcare, however nursing seems difficult and i'm not a injections and vitals type of person, I currently work in Accounting and want to get into healthcare with what experience and college training I have.
Yes, what should I study, what should be my focus in college to achieve that type of position. I do not want to do nursing, but I do want to work in healthcare, hospitals. The administrative side of Healthcare, financial management, medical billing, paperwork.
