Medical Records Abstract Clerk Job Questions & Answers

Hi there, as I can't afford a lawyer, I am filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy without a lawyer. The last year has been a complete financial disaster with me losing my job and my wife forced to quit hers due to her medical condition. The only bright spot is that I managed recently to get my mortgage company to agree to a short sale as I owe more on my mortgage than my house is worth. The thing is I discovered that even this solitary bright spot could be destroyed by my propane company which placed a lien on my house for an unpaid propane bill which I can't pay. Now I thought liens could only be placed on property via a court order or by the IRS but all this company did was pay the town's clerk's office $25 to put a lien on my house for the unpad bill. My question is will this lien stand up in court and /or will bankruptcy remove it to allow the sale to go through. If I had the money to pay it I would but I am stuck in h-e-ll known as Vermont where there are no decent jobs
