I go to Texas A&M - Commerce. I wanting to get a Bachelor's degree only, and get a job as a physical therapist assistant. Would a degree in Health & Human Performance be suitable? You can read about it near the bottom of this page here: http://www.tamuc.edu/academics/colleges/educationHumanServices/departments/healthHumanPerformance/undergraduatePrograms.aspx I realize it says that it prepares you for graduate school, but I'm wondering if you could still get hired with a degree such as this.

I want to work as a physical therapist assistant. I'm thinking of getting my career diploma, but I wouldn't get certification. Can I still get a job in the state of California with just the diploma? Or would I have to continue to get my certification? If so, is there a way I can get my cert after I get the diploma? Or are they 2 completely different things? Someone help me please!!!

My boyfriend is interested in becoming a Physical Therapist Aide. I know that to be a Physical Therapist Assistant, you need a certain degree, but that is something completely different. Would becoming an LNA/CNA help? He has a bachelor's degree, but it is in Television Broadcasting so that won't really do much.

I was wondering if anyone out there can help me decide the best online distance learning college that is accredited who offers an associate's degree as a physical therapist assistant? I have been getting feedback that getting into that profession is a great idea as it is very rewarding with excellent benefits and pay. I love to help people and make them feel better. But I am going to pursue my career in pediatrics because I want to help children. Can anyone help me with the best school that i can do online from home? Thanks to all and god bless!

I am applying to a physical therapist assistant program. The application asks for two letters of recommendations from two employers but I've only had one job so far and I don't have the contact information for my former boss. This year I have done observation hours in both in-patient and out-patient settings. Would it be okay to ask the physical therapists I observed for recommendations?

I am currently in my first semester of Physical therapist assistant school. I am wanting to get a job as a rehab tech while I'm in school and am finding it very difficult to find any openings. I was wondering if anyone has a better way other than emailing or faxing your resume. Also I am curious of any current PTAs, what is a reasonable wage to expect after graduating and passing the license exam?

As i am painfully finding out, there are no jobs available which is making depressed and wondering if i just wasted the last four years of my life getting my Business degree. One of my friends just graduated for PTA and already has a job making decent money. I have been job hunting for months. Any advice is greatly appreciated, Thanks.

I am planning on becoming a physical therapist assistant and my couselor at my school said that I can also get a degree in medical assisting, while I am waiting to get into the PTA program, but I'm not really sure which one is better and what exactly a medical assistant is. I love physical therapy and it is my dream to become a PTA. Any suggestions?
