I am currently a technical support training coordinator. My wife got transferred across the country in her job. I was wondering if anybody could think of some catch phrases for me to look for a job. I would like to stay in the same industry but work out of my home. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I would consider doing this for a career because I have always been good with computers, but I'm awful at any math higher than basic algebra. Could someone who has this job tell me about it?

I have a background in IT development and project management and am looking to make a career change. I'm interested in doing something related to Education, but do not necessarily want to teach. What other options are out there? I am willing to get additional training, so please don't assume I need (or want) to use any of my technical skills.

I'm 21 and I am going to community college for my general ed. I also work and am expecting a child in Nov. I really want to provide for my family and i am going to need to decide soon on what i'm going to do. I understand that good jobs are few and far in between nowadays and any suggestions on a good computer related field to jump into would be great. I don't want to make the mistake of ending up with a useless degree or wasting my time.

Based on pay scale and job availability. Also I'd like to know the differences in real world application (what kind of jobs could I expect with each degree). Basically, which degree looks more impressive to an employer? Thanks to those that answer.

I have a Masters in English (not literature, though) and a teaching certification in English, as well. I have been teaching English as a second language for 5 years and am fed up of teaching. It pays absolutely nothing and there is no professional advancement. What can I do with my skills? I have held jobs as PR coordinator, technical writer, etc. But I don't like those. I want something to use my creativity. I love planning and researching. But whatever I look into needs experience in the field and I don't have that. The sales/marketing companies that say they'll train you and you'll earn a great salary seem too suspicious or sound too good to be true so I don't even try there.

What kind of jobs can i get and do i need to study biology to get the degree?

All the jobs where they need people are in Information Technology and Computer Science, so I'm going back to school. I consider myself to be fairly computer literate, but there seems to be a bewildering array of courses and programs offered by various schools, and even more confusing lists of requirements for applicants of open IT positions. What degrees, classes, certifications, skills, programming languages, or what-have-you are the best worth taking?

I was also wondering what both of them actually do for work in a job and what classes you would need to take in college to become either of them? Thanks so much for any help!

I studied Business, I love dealing with people, the more people I get to talk to in a day, the happier I am. I wanted to work in human resources, but they wouldn’t give me a job anywhere because I had no experience. I took a job in Quality Control translating the process manuals. I got so familiarized with everything they made me technical writer, then they made me quality inspector, and now I am a production coordinator. I got promoted so much in 3 years, it made other people with engineering degrees jealous. I’m really good at what I do, but that doesn’t mean I like it. I still want to be in human resources, I’ve gone to many job interviews these past 3 years, but I still have no experience, no one seems to want to give me a job in that area, and now I’m used to making good money to just start working at some low-paying position. How can I get started in human resources, and still make what I’m making right now?
