Technologists Job Questions & Answers

My girlfriend just finished her 4 years of college and graduated with a B.S Degree in Microbiology. She was told that once she was out of college, she would be able to work at any hospital, or independent clinic. She has tried to apply to several medical technologist jobs, but she keeps getting turned down as they require 2-4 years of experience. She is getting extremely frustrated, and she is unsure of what to do at this point. My question to everyone is, how does she get this experience if no one will hire her? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Is the market saturated, making it difficult to find a job? Are most people who graduate with an Associates and a certification by the ASRT finding jobs right out of college? I know there are coordinated internships through most programs, does that make it easier to market yourself and find contacts within the hospitals

Do either one of these two type of jobs earn more than the other. Also, any other info would be helpful, ... like are there more opportunities in one field compared to another? How about things like flexibility, .are their Per Diem jobs? Hours? Are they a stable field right now and into the forseeable future?

If not, what are good jobs for muslim brothers and good jobs for muslim sisters? Jazakum Allah Khair. Any answers are appreciated. I hope there are more people who answer this question, although it might be too late since answering ends in 17 hours. Would it still be acceptable since men will be having physical contact with women and vice versa.
