I'm applying for a position as a Therapeutic Staff Support at Family Behavioral Resources. Its a family focused therapy center. I will work with autistic kids.

I am a mother of 5 daughters ages soon to be 17, soon to be 13 a 7 yr old a 5 yr old and a 21 month old. I am soon to graduate with my associates degree in Human Development and Familiy Studies. Over the past 6 years I have been working as a Residential Program Worker teaching MR/MH/DD individuals all the basics of daily living. Now mind you MR/MH/DD individuals most have the mental capabilities of a very young child even though they are adults. I am trying to apply for a position as a Therapeutic Staff Supports worker also known as a wraparound . kinda like a private counselor for children...Here is the problem I have experience working with adults not children and was told with only an associates I need 3 years experience. How do you get it if no one will give you the chance. I have had steady work experience for 9 yrs now that got to say something. I have worked full time raised my 5 daughters on my own and went to school. Gave a good CV letter and resume. What else can I do

I'm currently studying for a psychology degree with the open university in my first year and I'm looking into options for after I finish. I know I could do a postgraduate degree to be a mental health nurse but I was just wondering what this job is like and what the role is?

My goal is to work with pre-adolescent and adolescent boys, especially those without father figures, on behavioral issues. In order to open a practice, would I need a PhD? Is a PhD in developmental psychology the way to go? Can anybody who knows the field help?

I'm hoping to go to Utah Valley Univeristy and one of the degrees that interests me in Behavioral Science. You can also do an emphasis on psychology with that and I was wondering what careers are available for that kind of degree. Or with an emphasis in social work or family studies.

I would like to volunteer to help out at t therapeutic riding school in November, and I was just wondering about your experiences volunteering or working there. I am undecided whether or not I should become an RN?...From what I heard, the job is interesting but at the same time hardwork. I wouldn't mind doing the work, but would like to know If I would have to give shots/take blood tests...I dont know if I could handle that...So that is why I dont know if this job is for me...Please hElp!
