Also can you please explain to me all the job duties that this person does? And whether or not they make good money?
I know that 4 years of a bachelor degree is necessary, but what are some jobs that only require 2-4 more years of school?
What kind of degree do u need to be an ultrasonographer or a midwife?
Academy for Allied Health and Sciences
Would taking classes( for 2 years) in a school like this help/shorten my time in college? I want to be ultrasonographer, and I believe the profession is allied health. I know the pay isn't amazing but it seems very appealing to me since i will only have to do two years of school. thanks in advance.
I would be taking these classes Junior/Senior year of high school.
Is there a job which you run tests for doctors and examine blood/xrays/anything at all?
Cos that would be so awesome :)
It seems like such a happy job!
My entire life I have wanted to be a pediatrician. Now, in my first year of college as a Biology major, I am not sure. I have been looking into sonography but am afraid to make a decision either way. Could you give me some pros and cons of both jobs to help my decision? Please only from someone who has worked in one of these professions.
I'm a ultrasonographer, but I really desire to work with animals. Are there jobs/positions available for veterinary sonographers?
My boyfriend is 19 years old. He's applying for the technical school in january, so he's starting after the first semester. But he would like to make more than 50,000 annuallly. He would prefer to go to school for 2 years, but he said he would even do 4 if it would make him more money.
to the first person who answered-what are you talking about?
That offers courses for a year opposed to attending a four year college? Meaning will there be a big difference of a disadvange as far as getting a job.
I was wondering if there are good job opportunities for a position as a ultrasonographer directly out of school. I will be looking for an entry level position right? Or do they all require that you at least have 1-2 years clinical experience? I guess what Im asking is what is the process after you get out of school with degree and certificate in hand to obtain a position as a diagnostic medical sonographer?? Thanks!
Hi, I want to study in ultrasound tech, but i am not so sure what good colleges offer that degrees. I am currently a high school senior in Chicago. Is there college in Chicago or by Chicago that offers it? I am planning to attend UIC during fall but i dont think they offers it.
Is ultrasound tech a tough field? how long it usually take to find a job after u grad?
Report for school. need a lot of information if possible. thanksss.
I think this is what I want to do as a career! It really interests me. However, Im going to have a baby soon, so I would like to do this part time. Is this possible to do like 25 hours a week? My husband is military, so I dont need the benefits.
ALSO, is there any place that I can get certified or liscensed in less that two years?
The school I'm looking at has radiography science degree for radiologic technologists and then afterwards you can get into a sonography program for an advanced certificate. They also have a bachelor's degree for sonography. If you can't tell, I really want to be a sonographer! I just don't know which route to take, would I be more valuable to a future employer to get a radiography degree first or does it matter?
Thanks for any advice!
Does anyone know of a ultrasound school that i can attend at night since i have a full time job during the day. I am in southern california. thanks.
What's the smartest way of becoming a ultrasonographer? Is it enjoyable? What are the hours? Are they ever on call? How involved are the classes?
Can I go to a school like Western Career College? Do I need an aa before that? And is it a high demand job or not? I'm looking for a job that I can make good money, help someone, like it and not have to do like a million years of school to get it....
A sonographer is an Ultrasound tech, is that correct? What are the requierments to become an ultrasound tech and what type of classes are needed? How long is school?
I want to go to this school http://www.htinj.edu/programs.html
but they have two different programs for these fields. i want to be the one who does the sonograms of babies but i thought that was an ultrasound tech. now im confused and want to know which one i should chose.
