What is the job description of an ultrasound technician?

I was thinking about getting a degree to become one. I already have an Associate of Science in Biology and am about to take my certification test for Pharmacy technician. I have read that you have to have a degree in some sort of health field before you can become an ultrasound tech. Is this true?

Yes, you will likely have to go to a trade school like Western Career College for about an 8-12 month program. An ultrasound technician DOES NOT tell the patient they have a dead baby inside. (They do see it)That is the doctors job to discuss the findings.
