I have been working in an office at a school for almost 2 years now. I come in and do all work I am suppose to.... I have been applying for many other positions within the school that I qualify for but have not been hired or even considered. Other employees with less experiance and time here at the office have been hired in better more permanent higher paying positions, (one even was fired in our office, and rehired by a different department with better pay so I guess thats a promotion!). I have been looking for work and have came across a Housekeeping positon with a family owned company and I am wondering if I should take the position. I am in college and need a day job so the hours for this house keeping job will be perfect and the pay is 10 to start and after 3 months 11 per hour. Got offered the job and even though I never done this work I dont seem to think I would mind it as I worked a physical job in the past at a warehouse and it did not bother me. This job has weekends off and vacation time. I get paid 8 an hour at my current office job and have no benefits, vacation time or pto, but it is also a day job with weekends off as well. SHOULD I TAKE THIS HOUSEKEEPING JOB? Company seems good. I know this sounds like a downgrade but with better pay I am confused! Thanks.

I'm trying to help my neighbor find work. She's in her early 50's and speaks some English, but is not fluent. She usually does cleaning/housekeeping jobs, but I think she's had some health issues. She is a legal citizen. Any ideas?

I found this and it perfectly describes what I want I just don't know how to find it. Help please? Summer Jobs at Resorts Resorts often hire young people for cleaning jobs, food preparation, bussing, refreshment sales, activity leaders, gift shop workers, front desk assistants, housekeeping jobs, kid’s club assistants and waterfront staff. Some resorts provide housing for staff so these jobs provide an opportunity to spend some time in an exciting location where you will meet lots of other young people.

Jobs for housekeepers for private families are not advertised on job websites - does anyone know how I can go about finding this kind of work? Also what qualifications etc would I need to become a childminder/nanny? My baby is due on June 24th & when my maternity leave/pay runs out I am going to be stuck for money as my partner & I cannot afford childcare & would also like to spend the first few years with my child anyway. A private housekeeper/nanny/childminder would be an ideal way for me to e********y but spend time with my child also. Can anyone tell me where I can find private housekeeping jobs or give me some ideas & also tell me what qualifications I need for being a nanny & how I would go about finding a job as one?

Hello, I have a job interview in a few days. It's a housekeeping job at a hotel. I really like the job, but it takes me 1 hour and 36 minutes, to get there. Do you think that is too long, to travel to work everyday? What do you think? What should I do?

I received phone calls in reference to interviews. The first interview was a STATE JOB, good benefits however the pay isn't all that hot. The second interview is a regular housekeeping job however its a prestige hotel, great pay but then again benefits are so so. Now I am stuck in the middle, I don't know if I should accept the state job or go with the HIGHER PAYING job which is the housekeeping job. Any advice?

I'm looking to earn a little extra money while in college. My friend worked as a housekeeper in a hospital and said she really liked it. I was considering working as one in a hotel nearby. My only other options are fast food and grocery store cashier. What do you think? Housekeeping pays around 8 bucks and hour while the other two jobs I mentioned pay min. wage. Is the work required for the housekeeping job worth the money?

I am currently a housekeeper, I just got the job to pay the bills while searching for an administrative assistant job. I'd rather not have it on my resume at all since it doesn't apply, but I also don't want my prospective employer to wonder what I've been doing for the last 6 months. They always say to put your most recent job first, should i do that or should i put the most relevant jobs first? Also, should I mention somewhere in the description of the housekeeping job that it is only a "survival" job?

I recently applied for a housekeeping job at a local hospital that pays top dollar . I was interviewed but I wasn't chosen. Is it like they're saying I'm not worthy enough to clean and mop dirty floors etc...? I was offended , should I be?
