I currently work as a HR Consultant for a firm that works with city and county govenments. We help them recruit/hire (a little), create job ads, write job descriptions, develop personnel policies, set compensation, etc. I've been working there for a year and a half. The position would be recruiting and hiring hourly employees, maintaining recruitment files, and maintaining HR forms and job descriptions. They want 1-2 years of related experience and proficiency in Office products, with banking experience a plus. I don't have experience in the banking industry, but I do offer an MBA, Bachelor's Degree in HR, and have assisted one client in recruiting and screening applicants for an HR Director position. I have recruited and hired an HR Assistant and two interns for our firm and written/revised many job descriptions. I believe I have the education and experience, but how can I make myself stand out before and after the interview? What are banks in particular looking for?

I have been working at Subway for close to 3 years. I personally believe i have accomplished everything there is inside the Sandwich Artist field. Currently a shift leader, turned down a job as manager. Every month we get a Field Consultant who visits our store and inspects and helps the store improve. Honestly I dont want to become a Subway Manager, but i do want to go above the Sandwich Artistry. Does anyone know how hard it is to obtain a Field Consultant Job? or how i would go about applying? thank you.

I came across nearly 100 HR consultants in the last few years. I am not happy with the HR consultant. Just i want to share the expereince . Most of the HR consultants were not having sufficient technical knowledge, they are not able to find the skills of the candidate, They required tailor made candidate for example if there is vacancy in auto company they are seeking candidates from auto company only, but similar experienced ,skilled candidares are also available some time they are having more knowledge or skills than the auto company candidate. My opinion is the HR consultants were totally failure in selecting of right candidates. Also i am giving jobs to these consultants , they are artificially making the candidates cost more. pl provide your opinions and views about HR consultants

I want to work in a downtown corporate sky scraper. What jobs do most of those people hold? My ambition is to have that nice window office with my secretary. I'm not going to brag or anything. I know that I have the ability to become whatever I want. Currently I'm a mathematics and operations major--but I don't really want to work in a warehouse type of place forever. So I was curious what many of those workers jobs were that land them in the corporate headquarter with a nice window office! Thanks!

Right now my focus is Human Resource Management for my Business degree but I was wondering if I should pick a different major. I would love a job somewhere in education maybe as a principal, or maybe a government job since I was in the military. Accounting is just too much math for me. Will I be able to find any good jobs with a Human Resource degree in the NY area or should I change?

I have been on disability for about a year and according to the contract, they can let me go now since I am not off disability yet. So, would I be able to qualify for COBRA subsidy if they let let me go? The HR consultant told me that the other option is for me to resign before the 1 year is over, than I would qualify for the subsidy. However, wouldn't that be a voluntary termination? Therefore, not qualify me for COBRA subsidy?
