HR Coordinator Job Questions & Answers

What is another term for an Accounts Receivable Coordinator? I have an interview coming up for this Accounts Receivable Coordinator job. I recently graduated out of college. It starts paying $15/hr and it can go up to 38k per year. Do you think it's a good starting pay? I want to know if I can get a better job with better salary someday. Should I work 2 years there as an Accounts Receivable Coordinator? I am 25 years old now, and if I work 2 years there, I would turn 27 years old. Someday I want to get paid $20-25 an hour working for another job. What jobs should I look for after the 2 years there? Thanks.

I'm in training for my new HR Coordinator position, and I am shadowing the current coordinator while she conducts interviews. I've been asked before in my own interviews why I am leaving my current position, but I have never heard the coordinator ask an interviewee that. I was just wondering if that was the social norm, or if it's a major faux pas to ask that in an interview.

On May 7, I tentatively received a job offer from HD pending my background check and drug test results. Several days passed with no call. I spoke with the Operations Manager on May 13 and he told me that I was clear and good to go. However, it is May 26 and the HR coordinator still has not called to let me know when orientation is. Trust me, I have tried calling the store several times trying to get the date. What is going on? How long does it take?

I really want to 'wow' the HR department, because there are so many resumes flooding the job market I'm trying to come up with a way to get the attention of the company. I really want to stand out. If you have anything HELPFUL to say I would really love to hear it. The position I'm interested in is an advertising coordinator. I have something in mind, but I want to see if you all come up with something better. Thank you in advance for your input.

I started and earned graduate-level credits as an admitted graduate student and the job I applied for only required a high school diploma and preferred a BA. Do I contact the EEO coordinator or the HR director?

I'm applying for a job working for the county I'm in, but I'm not sure who to address the cover letter to. I know you should always address it to a specific person, but when I look into the HR department, there's 5 different people. There's the: Director; Program Director - Personnel Services; Human Resources Coordinator - Operations; HR Coordinator - Benefits; and HR Coordinator - Labor Relations. I'm confused as to who to address it to. I really don't want to put Hiring Manager or To Whom It May Concern.

Found a job on Craiglist that I am really interested in. But it simply does not list the company name or address or anything. It's a Spa Receptionist at "High end Spa & Fitness Center in Downtown San Francisco", and that's all it says. Is it right to email them and ask to whom I will be addressing?

My dream job is to be a Marketing or Project Coordinator for Discovery Communications. I have applied to several similiar postings over the past year with no response. I am qualified for the jobs I apply for (B.S. in Marketing, internship at a television network, 2 yrs marketing experience) and I am a great employee with excellent references, I just don't know what I could possibly being doing wrong. I have had several offers from other large companies recently, but I haven't accepted them becuase I just can't give up on my dream job yet. I would really appreciate any tips or recomendations from Discovery employees or previous employees. Thanks.

Went in for an interview for an IT position. Passed their background and drug screening, and got invited for 2nd interview. Obviously, I am in the small pool of applicants they narrowed down. The 1st interview was with the recruiting coordinator at HR, and seems like the 2nd interview will be with the people from IT dept that I'll be working with if I get the job. Now, if there's anything I need at least at this stage in my life, it's this job. Anyone can give me any helpful tips on how I should approach this 2nd interview to increase my chance of getting the job? Should I take any different approches than in the 1st interview? I need the job.

I am a junior in college and my major is Special Education. I want to teach special education, but I was thinking about continuing my education and getting a masters in Psychology. My dream job would be working with autistic or down syndrome children in the hospital atmosphere. Do you know of any other careers other than Special Education? Thanks =)
