I recently had an interview for an internship position for a company I want to work for. I emailed the HR recruiter about my interest in working for this company but I got a response saying that I did not get the job and I was also told to apply for more positions online as per company policy. Since I have the email of the HR recruiter, I was planning on emailing him about another internship position that I qualify for. What should I say in the email, in the subject line? And I was going to attach my resume and cover letter (tailored to the job description) within the email. Since I do not have the name of the actual manager for the job, can I address the cover letter to the HR recruiter? Please help!

An HR recruiter for another company contacted me. Frankly it would take a large offer - 20?ncrease and a year employment contract - plus all my other perks come-with - before I'd even consider an offer. I don't want to mess around with lengthy and fatiguing interviews if they know they can't meet my requirements. I'm just wondering if there's some other aspect to being courted that I might not be considering. Some people like interviewing - I don't. I find it stressful and fatiguing - even when the job is a take-it-or-leave-it. Thoughts? Thanks.

I had an interview for an internal job posting which would be a week on Monday. The hiring manager asked for references (my current manager & two other managers in my current department) & stated they had a few more interviews to complete. I wanted to follow up on the position Monday afternoon but was not clear who I should contact. Should I call the HR recruiter or the actual hiring manager?

Besides for an applicant's job application and his/her resume, is there anything else that an employers checks to make a hiring decision? My sister is a HR Recruiter, and she said that, before a verbal offer for a job is given to a job applicant, the only thing that employers check are an applicant's job application and his/her resume.

I applied for a job at my old previous employer last week, I talked with the HR recruiter and she said that my application was good and I left in good standing. Then she told me that she was sending my application to the hiring manager and I haven't heard from anyone and it's been a whole week since all this has happened. What is taking so long?

I asked my older sister, whom is a HR Recruiter, and I also asked an HR person from another company. Both of them said that, in regards to the companies they work for, they do background checks, employment verifications, reference checks, etc. only after a verbally offer for a job has been made to an applicant.

I have an interview line up next week that will be for 5 hours long with 5 different people. I never have an interview that long before so I'm a little nervous as to what to expect and how to prepare for it. I already have an interview with the HR recruiter already, this next one will be with the department director, manager, 2 senior, then with the HR recruiter again. What type of questions do you think each of them will be asking according to their position? Will they be the same or different? Then what type of questions should you ask each person according to their position? I'm just nervous as in how many questions can they possibly ask and how many questions can you possibly ask them and etc...

I had two successful interviews with the same company. First, with the HR Recruiter and lastly, with the VP handling the department for the position I interviewed for. After a week I get a call back from the recruiter telling me how the VP would like for me to meet the team and to schedule the best availability to come in this week. Does this mean I got an offer? Thanks!

In response to an HR opening, I was asked to come on a preliminary tour of the medical facility and to learn a little bit about the positioin. What should I be sure to do and to not do? What will they be evaluating? I've never been asked to do this before. If I was called, it was always to do a straight interview. I understand that this is like an elimination round/preliminary interview. But how do I make sure I am called for a formal interview?

The HR recruiter from Kaiser called me to come in and do a keyboard and pharm tech written test. I have never done something like that before and I would like to know what I should wear. I'm a woman, so I was thinking about wearing maybe a dress shirt and black pants or is it better wear something more elegant than that like dress pants and a cardigan over a matching tank top?
