I want to work in human resources. I have a degree in economics and I'm not sure how to proceed. I've been applying for jobs in the clerical field, accounting, and one position as a human resources clerk. Is it hard to get work in HR?
Right now my focus is Human Resource Management for my Business degree but I was wondering if I should pick a different major. I would love a job somewhere in education maybe as a principal, or maybe a government job since I was in the military. Accounting is just too much math for me. Will I be able to find any good jobs with a Human Resource degree in the NY area or should I change?
A relative of mine is a Human Resources Consultant and I have been interested in business lately and I have been looking for a summer job so he said I could work as an intern and personal assistant for him. I have no idea what I should expect, I've never had a summer job before and I don't want to embarrass myself. How should I prepare for this? What should I expect as a consultant's assistant. He also has a whole team of engineers and professional looking people. Yeah I'm nervous.
Oh and I researched a human resources consultant's job but I still can't figure out what an intern would do.
I find myself analyzing organizations and trying to improve the business for more profits so I've been thinking of studying I.O (industrial organization) Psychology but then I heard it's all about motivating people etc??
I know there is human resource but I don't really like the sound of it and it seems like I.O psychologist get paid more? Is it true.
There is business consultant but I'm not sure if they get paid that well either. Anyway what types of jobs allow me to improve business etc?
I am studying BA hons in Human resources manament, however having looked at some jobs they require a CIPD qualification. I no longer want to study as my financial condition is worsening day by day.
I should be graduating soon with a 2:1 degree looking at all opportunities online they all require previous experience or a CIPD i feel like my time and invesment in university is a waste.
Is there any options to get a job in the field qucikly.
Thanks and good luck
I am currently working as an Accounting Assistant and am interested in a career change. I would like to work in Human Resources but I wanted to know what the qualifications were for an entry level Human Resources position. Also, does anybody know of any training classes (certificate only) that I could take to gain the basic knowledge needed to work in Human Resources?
I'm going for a job interview if they ask for salary expectations what is the range that is paid in the industry to entry level/ graduate employees in HR/training and business consulting positions? I was thinking along the lines of 45 to 52 k?
I have done the temping thing, I have paid career consultants, and in all honesty, it has only been a few weeks, but I feel like I am spinning my wheels and going no where. Can some one who has been there, done that offer some advice with some specifics? (Charlotte, NC) Much thanks!!

I did my math exam today and im pretty sure I failed so i won't have the required mark to be an engineer or anything like that so I was wondering what jobs pay a lot of money. I am interested in electronic music and also stocks and I don't think you need to be really good at math to do that.
I am doing a career search project for my econ class on Recruitment Coordinators. I need website sources, only the problem is, I can't for the life of me find one web resource that describes the job. I'm not talking about a military recruiter here, I'm talking about someone who works in human resources. Anyone who has a good idea about what this job entails, or can direct me to an informative website?
I am seriously thinking about going back to school and was wondering if you all could help me think of jobs an anthropologist major might qualify for, outside of teaching?
