My boyfriend is an E3 and begins basic training in a few days. His job is a Human Resource Specialist, so what duty stations are ideal for this job?

In today’s economy, I understand that for many corporations, private firms and non-profit organizations, the HR employees are being trained to use skilled tactics in there hiring procedures and screenings. Focusing more on personalities and social behavior in order to place candidates and so called effective communication barriers. What kind of methods and tools the Human Resource Departments use and what kind of training materials they receive and learn in order to select job seekers for today’s markets?

Can someone explain to me what role a human resource manager takes in their job an affirmative action, EEO plans and experience? Do you conduct training and have caseloads involving this? I'm currently getting ready to enter Law School, but now I'm thinking of taking on a new career path, so if someone could give specific examples to help me out, that would be great. Thanks

Almost all the jobs in Human Resources require experience so how do you get a job in HR with no experience in that field when your degree is in sociology? Is it possible? Would you need to take HR classes? I have worked in a bank for four and a half years so would a bank accept you for an HR job?

I have done customer service for five years with Bed, Bath, and Beyond and K-Mart, and worked for AlliedBarton Security Services for 8 months. I have done retail sales for two years and training for three years. What jobs and industries should I consider working in? I also have a Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management.

I am thinking about going to school for human resources and was wondering if anyone can tell me what types of jobs i can get with a human resources degree and what i can do with it. The most i know about it is the they do hiring and firing and employee rights but what kind of business i can get. Is it good job? and is it at a good demand? I would like to join the army reserves and train for human resource, but all the jobs I've been looking at for HR require a four year degree so would they be be just as likely to hire someone with just and a certification military training instead?

Right now I work a job I hate. I sit at a desk all day and do billing, boring. I used to work with people with mental illness. That was stressful so. I want to work with people doing human resources. I would love that. I have a little experience for supervisoring a mental health facility. I need more though all I see in the ads is you need ADP or Peoplesoft. How could I get that experience. I know I am good a scheduling and planning events.

Im planning to take human resource management, and was wondering if theres anyone out there who knows alot about the hours that this job requires, and if it was possible to balance it with a sideline career in hair and makeup. I am currently working as an Accounting Assistant and am interested in a career change. I would like to work in Human Resources but I wanted to know what the qualifications were for an entry level Human Resources position. Also, does anybody know of any training classes (certificate only) that I could take to gain the basic knowledge needed to work in Human Resources?
