Can someone explain to me what role a human resource manager takes in their job an affirmative action, EEO plans and experience? Do you conduct training and have caseloads involving this? I'm currently getting ready to enter Law School, but now I'm thinking of taking on a new career path, so if someone could give specific examples to help me out, that would be great. Thanks

I'm updating my resume, and I'm wondering if I can list a position that is not an official one for my current employer. My official job title is "Supervisor". I'm assigned to assist our human resources manager. Am I able to call myself a Supervisor and a Human Resources Assistant in my resume? There's no such job title for my location, but I practically do the tasks of a traditional HR Assistant.

It was proposed by my human resources manager that I do some work for the non profit I work for outside of my normal job responsibilities in order to gain some recognition and the implied result being a new position or additional work that would be contracted and paid. I have since left partly due to that being deceptive. Can I legally invoice and expect to be paid for the work I completed?

So, I have had a few interviews and accept a job offer. However, a few days into the new position I received a better offer. Naturally, I am going talk to someone at my current employer to tell them a better fit has presented itself.. but, who do I talk to? Human Resources? Manager? Trainer? I am in training for the first few weeks and do not have access to the typical manager/team members that you normally would be working with.

I have a job and am looking for a new one. The Human Resources manager pretty much hates me and I do not know why. I have never done anything or been written up at all, so I obviously have a clean record. However, personally she seems to hate me. Will she be contacted? If so, what will she be asked? Is there any way her personal opinion of me could prohibit me in any way? If I am asked for references, will those references be the only ones asked about me in a personal manner?
