You have applied to be an intern at company Big and company Huge. The personnel directors at Big and Huge have told you that the probabilities of getting the positions at their companies are 0.3 and 0.5, respectively. You estimate that the probability of getting both jobs is only 0.1. What is the probability that you get exactly one of the jobs?

I worked for a multi-store, multi-state company. My employer dismissed me for alleging "improper possession of store merchandise". They have and never could validate proof of this and two seperate review processes of the Board of Labor (For Unemployment benefits) determined this. What can I do since this is not my fault? The area where this was alleged is open to all empolyees (24 people daily) and all customers (Approximately 60-80 per day) and is not locked or secured in any way. No evidence was given by the employer other than "I had to know it was there" and the employee who actually found the merchandise in a drawer. Statements given at time of Dismissal by the personnel director stated "Would not have found merchandise if they had not been searching for First Aid supplies".. yet at the BOL hearing it was stated they were searching for a work order. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

I'm planning to attend a college that offers Air Force ROTC and graduate as a second lieutenant. However, I'd like to know what kind of jobs would be available to me once I do graduate. Could I be a doctor? If so, would I have to go to med school at some point? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I'm 17 and I'm interested in working at an airport becouse I love the environment. I'm particularly interested in positions of management where there is a lot of moving around and meeting & helping people (airport manager?). (Not pilot, luggage handler, or flight attentedant, work at fast food chains or gift shops!) and also, what's the job title of people who check your passport and tell you where you're sitting? It would be good if you could tell me as many possibilities and how much that job usually pays because a decent salary is important. Thanks!

I attended a nurses job fair where the unit director asked me to apply and allow her to look over my application. It wasn't actually an interview, we just got to talking at the job fair and she said she would be interested in having me. I have applied but have not heard back from her. It has been 4 days. Is it okay to call her? How long should I wait, and what should I say? I've never had to follow up with any job in the past, and this is new to me. Thank you all in advance.
