 | My partner has been offered a job in Dubai and I am planning on going with him, however, I work in the social care system, and am aware that there is no such thing in Dubai. I have many transferable skills (I think!) and am having trouble identifying a recruitment consultant who would be able to help me find a job in dubai! Ideally I would like to be able to speak with this person.

 | Say I went to recruitment consultants and offered them a bounty for if they put me in touch with an employer looking for someone with my skills and I got the job. Would this constitute bribery? This is in the UK.
Yes DR and Mrs Bears Face, I know how recruitment consultants work thank you very much. What I am suggesting is a radical system where the Employee pays instead of the Employer, thus providing an incentive to employ the applicant as oppose to an incentive to fill the job.

 | I'm currently working as a recruitment consultant in Bristol and have the commission from 7 placements outstanding (around about £3000). I'm planning on leaving my current job to get another recruitment job in London and I'm just wondering if my company is obliged to pay out my already earned commission after I've handed in my notice? If anyone has had the same issue I'd be grateful if you could share your experience. Thank you :)

 | I absolutely hate recruitment consultants and believe they are the scum of the earth. Wouldn't actual mind them if they got me a job but they haven't. Any jokes about them tho?

 | You know the story, you apply for a job and get a phone call from a recruitment consultant asking you to come in and register. You then go in and they don't mention the job at all, does everyone else get this. Whats the best way to decline but still get them to find work for you? Is it worth the effort of having to go in to get in with them or not? Any consultants opinion?

 | A recruitment consultant is responding to my CV saying - 'it doesn't match closely enough with the client requirements' - even though I specifically detailed/answered every item in the job description which fits EXACTLY the role & my experience.

 | Ok well a few days ago I had an interview for a job in a bank. Despite not feeling the best this week due to a nasty dose I prepared for the interview as best I could. I heard back from the recruitment consultant informing me that the interviewers believed I wasn't sufficiently prepared in my knowledge of the company/bank. Could this have 'repercussions' ?

 | The most common question that you get asked by a recruitment consultant when you are about to look for a new job is "What is your current salary like?". Should I be doing that? In either case, I am not going to accept a job offer below the market rate for the new role BUT if I don't disclose my pay, do I stand a better chance of being offered better paying roles?
