I posted a "Looking for Work" ad on Facebook and was contacted by a staffing coordinator who asked for my salary expectations. The figure I gave her was $225 per week. Is this too much, too little, or just right? To put things into more perspective, I'm a first-year university student with basic knowledge of clerical, computer, and accounting skills, who live in Canada.

Obviously, there are "traditional" jobs for people graduating with a BA in Computer Science, such as jobs as a software engineer. I'm wondering - what types of "non-traditional" jobs are there for Computer Science BAs willing to get a graduate degree, either in computer science or another field?

I only have a high school diploma. Working right now on my degree in Computer Science. I really want a desk job of some kind but not doing phones all day. I can take phone calls but not all day. I'm just so ready to be done with warehouse jobs and into something that has more growth potential. What do I need to do in order to get out from doing warehouse jobs and into getting a white collar job? I wouldn't mind working for a law firm doing entry level work for example.

Hello, i'm a junior in high school , my gpa is somewhere between an 83 and an 86 (im not sure at the moment =p) and am interested in two fields of jobs. One being computers/technology, one being pharmacy. But if possible i would more enjoy a job in computers and technology seeing pharmacy requires a lot of school. What are some jobs that pay decent that have to do with building computers, or possibly overseeing a system of computers or anything of the sort?

Thanks in advance for anything helpful. If I am a university student with no experience at all, is there any chance I could get hired? I don't really care for the pay, as long as it's not volunteering, because sales would really help with my major, marketing. I really would prefer jobs in clothing stores, preferably high-end, brand names or designer boutiques? Is it too presumptious of me? If so, what experience would i need first? Btw, I do have interest in fashion, fine art background etc Much appreciated.. I have been applying to expensive clothing stores since high school for summer jobs as clerks etc, but never got any replies. I assume it's because I have no experience at all. How do I overcome this disadvantage in employer's eyes?
