I'm trying to get a job at this company. I know one of the technical recruiters. Should I talk to this person? What jobs exactly can she get me, if she even can, because I don't really understand the whole idea with technical recruiters?

I work as a IT Recruiter and my job is to bring in IT consultants. What I do daily is make cold calls, read resumes, and interview. It is my job to get these consultants "approved by my manager" so I am their primary contact, and I am the only one to place them on a project. Here are the problems I have: #1: I haven't a clue about IT at all!! Most of the skills they talk about are so foreign! #2: As a recruiter (and having never been one before) I find it hard to get results when asking for referrals (or who they know that I could talk to). I usually ask "Who do you know that could help me out with this project?" and I get "I'm sorry, nobody" (am I asking the wrong way?) #3: THIS IS A BIG ONE: I went into this job motivated by money. This job will pay a TON in comission if I get consultants on projects. After having been there 3 months, and no one on a project (and this is normal, the company says) It is very hard to stay motivated by money if I don't see it. Any tips?Anyone?

I'm well aware that you cannot date your recruiter while you are in the delayed entry program. I am just wondering if it is still against regulations to date your recruiter once you finish basic training and tech school.

I am joining the Air force in the spring/summer of 08 . I need some advice on A.)how to get your recruiter to put in writing a guarantee on the job you want. and B.) What are a list of good jobs that will transfer into a good career once out of the military? I already have my BA degree, in psychology and while I am in the air force I plan on going to school to get my masters , hopefully to aid what I am doing in the air force. My hope in joining the air force is to gain knowledge in a skill that will be able to transfer into civilian life after 3 or so years. I have a family that is depending on my plans so any suggestions on how to go about joining and things to know while in the air force as well as WHAT a good job is would be very helpful! thanks in advance.

I recently did my undergrad in Finance, however kelly services has offered me Professional Technical Recruiter position for their Finance department. I have mixed thoughts about this opportunity as my major is not HR but this option is very tempting. Can anyone here tell me their experience working internally for Kelly services. And if I should pursue this opportunity.

I've been told it's an excellent branch to go into with my degree. What jobs do most people in my field get in the airforce? Would I need training first? Are there specific bases in the country that require my degree? Do you know of any? Sorry for so many questions, I am planning to ask a recruiter soon, but I wanted to check with others online too.
