Hi, A neighbor's tree fell on my property - it is a 4-plex (rental business). the tree fell due to extreme weather/wind. Is there any way you recommend I prepare for the meeting with the insurance adjuster. they already hired a contractor to do the job required due to damage. How should I prepare for the meeting and what should I say? THANKS.

Recently my wife was in an accident on the freeway. The other driver hit her from behind and smashed the back of her car while at a stop. The car has been repaired, but we are still getting her neck worked out. X-rays revealed damage to her neck. My question is regarding the BI portion of the claim. For a few weeks I had to take time off my part time job to watch our baby, as my wife could not use her neck/shoulder. I do not know if this will matter, but I probably lost 600 bucks in wages. The total medical bills will probably be in the range of 5k to 10k when it is all said and done. We have had a great experience with the company paying out the claim so far. What is a fair settlement once her neck injury has been resolved? Will the lost wages be calculated as some sort of "inconvenience"? I'm not trying to take advantage of anyone, just a dad looking to have a professionals opinion. By professional I mean an insurance adjuster... not a personal injury attorney :)

My husband's car was recently damaged in a hail storm and the insurance adjuster gave us a quote based on Paintless Dent Repair if it was repaired at the collision center where it was taken for the estimate. I've heard that getting PDR done stretches the paint and can cause it to eventually crack down the road and damage the paint job. Is this true? Would it be better to have the car repaired by replacing some of the damaged areas and repainted?

My husband signed a contingency contract with a roofing contractor, stating that if he extend his time and service to deal with the insurance adjuster to get our roof approve for repaired, that they would get the job of repairing our roof. I now want to shop around to find another roofing contractor that might be a little cheaper and that will work with us better on the prices. Will this cause a big ordeal for us if we tell them that we now longer want them to do the work?

I will be moving to San Antonio in July and am looking for some good job opportunities out there. I am currently licensed as an insurance adjuster in FL, so I think I would need to get my TX license before I can work in insurance again. Therefore I am looking for a good paying job in other areas, could you please make some recommendations or referrals? Thanks.
