After being an Intern for 2yrs at an Insurance Corp., I have decided I want to become an Insurance Broker after I graduate college. Will this internship experience help me to gain an internship/job with a brokerage firm? Should I wait a few yrs. before becoming a broker to gain more knowledge of insurance or just jump right in to the business? Will I make a good salary in the beginning? What is a prestigous brokerage firm on the East Coast in the Philadelphia,New York, New Jersey area?

My employer does not provide insurance. My husband's employer excludes all mental health from its insurance. Do you know of a company that will sell insurance to someone who has a diagnosis of bi-polar disorder as an individual. An insurance broker told me that all companies exclude all coverage for people with bi-polar disorder. I also understand that if you apply for insurance and get rejected, the mere fact that you were rejected can keep you from getting insurance later from a different company. So, I don't want to apply and get rejected.

I have been training at an insurance broker to become a financial advisor. However, I am only under a training agreement, and do not receive any pay. Recently, I have received an offer to become a bank teller. I need the job because I need some income. I have not signed any contract with the bank yet. Anyone know if it is possible to work for both? or will there be a conflict of interest?

I am currently in a business law class and I'm working on my final project. I had to write summaries about 6 jobs that deal with the law. But, now for all those jobs I need to interview people in those fields. So, if you are an insurance broker, law enforcement officer, paralegal, judge, lawyer, or court officer and wouldn't mind answering all my interview questions let me know! Thanks so much!

I'm 23 and will be graduating with a BA degree at the end of this summer. I focus my studies in accounting but don't really have any working experience in finance. I've looked into a few "financial groups" but the job there is more like an insurance broker and I'm not sure if that's the path to being a CFA. Can you give me some advice in what kind of job should I be looking for? Thank you in advance!

I have a pre existing mental illness that is controlled very well with medication, and I am a productve, very educated, young member of society and otherwise healthy person, and NO insurance will cover me. What do I do? Should I just lie and hope that they don't find out (or research into my medical file)? It has been over a year since my diagnosis and treatment. Why do they still refuse me and is there anything I can do to change that? How long will it be until that will be "erased" from my permanent record?

I have just received my bachelors degree and have so far only had small side jobs. When I'm looking online now, I don't even know where to start. I know that I would most likely be starting off low, but I am looking for an industry that would be cool to work in with increasing opportunities in the years to come. Does anyone have any advice for that?
