 | What do payment protection insurance claim management companies do?
It's a company that deals with outgoing calls and are looking for people who are confident in talking on the phone speaking to clients. They wants strong sales skills, target driven.
What advise would u give to one who has only really been dealing with face2face customer service. What reply can be to the question why do u want this job?

Working in either the risk management department of a company or for an insurance company?
1. Claims Manager
2. Executive Claims Manager
3. Vice President of Claims

Also - How respected are top claims professionals in their companies?
Also - How secure are these jobs?
Finally - And if you are working for the risk management department of a company as a claims coordinator - do you think a certificate in risk management will give you the credentials and experience you need to get more into risk and out of claims?

 | My job goes through Blue Cross Blue Shield, but they never let me "qualify" according to the company's standards even though I work 40 hours each week. My boyfriend has UMR insurance through the Veteran's Affairs of Missouri where he works and I am impressed by his coverage. Is there anyway to just get an individual plan through them?

 | Just wondering about it. My sister worked with [car] insurance companies in her previous two jobs, and said that when the claims are larger, they'll purposely delay it.
I only ask out of curiosity. I submitted a large health claim to my insurance company over eight weeks ago (usual claims take 48-72 hours) and despite my consistent calls, it sort of seems like the insurance guys are sitting on their hands with their thumbs up their butts when it comes to my case.

 | I am a bodily injury claims adjuster for an auto insurance company with 4 1/2 years experience. I've grown tired of the nonsense within our company. I am presently searching for jobs with other companies in all branches of claim handling. However, I'm also thinking about switching fields all together. What other career fields would my experience qualify me for if I decided to change fields? Also, does anyone recommend a good insurance field to enter?

 | Bascially I was in a car incident where myself and the claimant bumped into eachothers cars. It was agreed there was no damage to either vehicle, no injuries and there were no witnesses. However, some months later a direct accident management company have contacted my insurance company and are now trying to claim £6,000 for damages and car hire. And the claimant has also dreamed up a witness who has written a statement saying that they saw the accident and even spoke to me! (apparently I told him to mind his own business)! My insurance company have provided me with a solicitor as I now have a court hearing! There was no damage to my car and I wish to claim nothing.
