State Farm Agent Job Questions & Answers

I am a recent grad looking for job. I searched online and state farm has a lot of jobs offering, with State Farm Agent being as one of them. I am wondering if there is any base salary with that position. If so, is it hard to get hire? Or it requires to take a personality test like those other Financial Advisor job? (Glassdoor has many different inputs on the salary of that position, so I don't know if it is reliable. If you work in State Farm, please input) Thanks!

I currently work for a State Farm agent in the San Antonio Texas area. I love my job and have been here for over 5 years. I want to try something new and different and I am very interested in auto and/or fire claims. When I search for job posting at StateFarm.com I come up empty handed. Are there any suggestions on how to find an internal job posting for claims?

Can someone fill me in on what being a brand new insurance agent for State Farm would be like? I'm going to be fresh out of college and so far it seems like I would have to figure out my own office and all that. What is the employment test like? Do you get to work under an experienced agent and then move up or how does it work? I need all the ins and outs of the job please. How much are you making? What convinced you to take the job? Is there a base salary while you're learning?

My husband is considering a career change after 20 years, making $200k annually and lots of perks. But the job is killing him. He hates it. I will support his decision of course, but just wanted to hear from somebody that might have personal experience with this. I chose this category hoping there are agents out there helping to answer questions, fingers crossed.

I applied for a state farm insurance agent job at my local agency and I had 2 interviews so far. The first one I took that compatibility test and that test where they have all sorts of problems to solve in a time limit. I then went in and had an interview which discussed the job more in detail, asked the usual interview questions and asked about salary, licensing etc. I now have to go in for a third interview as the agent says she wants me to come in again to complete another "hiring tool" which will take a half hour and to meet the other agent at the office. My question is....does anyone know what this "tool" might be? What to expect? Any tips/pointers? Thanks in advance.

I am currently in advertising but have an insurance degree from College. I have seen much success in my sales career and think if I had success in one area of sales I should have success in another. I had thought that I would want to work for an independant agency but none in my area are hiring right now. I received an offer from a big box company ie state farm, farmers, allstate etc Should I start there? Is this a good idea?
