Development Associate Job Questions & Answers

I was wondering what you can do with a childhood development associate degree, and how much money that you can make. Also, is it worth seeking a bachelor degree? Any advice on this would help. I kinda want to be a teacher also, but either way, I need to support a family. Any advice will be appreciated. I need to find a well paying job.

I had my second interview yesterday but I did not negotiate about the salary since I had heard it would be better to negotiate after receiving job offer. So the employer has sent me the job offer for a full-time 'Technical Support & Development Associate' position from a digital development company for $45,000 per year, the benefit package includes mandatory 50-50 cost-share Employee Benefits program, and normal 15 days vacation per year. I am a new Masters (M.A.) Graduate from Canada, but I also have more than 4 years of experience in digital development in my field after my undergraduate studies. This would be my first job in Canada beside my research assistant in our university. It is my first experience and I would really like to know what is commn or suggested to do in such situation. The employers's email reads: Dear Marie, Thank you for the meeting today. I am excited about the possibility to work together. I’d like to offer you the position of 'Technical Support & Development Associate' to commence February 15, 2013 at the annual salary of $45,000. I’m attaching details about the offer and information from our finance team about benefits. I would love to hear from you by Monday, but please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions. Jane ----------------------------- Now what do you suggest me to write her. She sent her email yesterday, but I still have not replied her. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I like this job but if it's salary was a bit more it could be better, since I may still receive phone calls for others interviews when I start this job ( * So my other question is : Should I even apply for more jobs anymore? If I cannot talk on the phone for scheduling interviews or answering to the other companies for the othe jobs that I have applied for?) P.S. I have been working on a bachelors degree in molecular genetics however I have decided to change my field of study to Computer Science. Actually, I am mainly concerned with web development. I have found a Computer Science - Web Development Bachelors degree program at another college. Also, I have found a cheaper web development Associates Degree at yet another local College. I am trying to decide which I should pursue. Is it possible to successfully enter the field with either considering competition? It would probably take about the same amount of time to complete either its mostly a financial thing. Would it be worth spending more money and would it be easier to get a better job with a bachelors degree?

I live in Fairfield County, Connecticut (about 1 hour North East from Manhattan). Also, I am studying to get a one-year-certificate in Web Development (not an Associate degree). How likely is it to find a job as an entry-level web developer with little or no experience? What tips do you suggest to find a job? If is it possible, could you tell me how long do they usually work? how is the environment? Is it a flexible job? Thank you so much.

I want to hang my college degree in my office. My grandmother bought me a BEAUTIFUL diploma frame when I graduated in 2006, but I've never had an office to hang it in until now. I'm a development associate for a non-profit social service agency and I share the office with one of our financial employees. Would hanging it would be too over the top?

I just want to know what kind of jobs require people with CTO degrees. And in your opinion, how much money do they make each year? Is the job hard or difficult?

The associate degree is generally the first 2 years of a 4 year bachelor degree in adult, vocational and workplace learning. If I studied for the extra 2 years, what benefits might this provide? If anyone can provide an example of what they have obtained with any associate degree, e.g. position type, salary etc, it would make it easier for me to compare with a bachelor degree of the same type and relate this back to education.

I have a background in IT development and project management and am looking to make a career change. I'm interested in doing something related to Education, but do not necessarily want to teach. What other options are out there? I am willing to get additional training, so please don't assume I need (or want) to use any of my technical skills.
