I leave for Basic Training in 11 days and signed my contract for Nuclear Field. I plan on being an ET (electronics technician). I know it will obviously involve nuclear power and probably power plants, but I'm looking for the specific jobs there or possibly research and development jobs I could get into.

I would like to avail of the professional services of reputed sites like Naukri, Monster, etc. in India. How good / effective are these for Resume Development & job-hunt for mid-career professionals. I have heard they are good at inserting popular "keywords" into the Resume to help one get more responses from employers. Is that so ? What are the alternatives ?

I am beginning to apply to web development jobs coming out of college and I definitely do not know all of the javascript or css h***s that will work for all browsers. I was wondering if there was a site that listed them? Maybe a blog that holds all them? I want to go into the interview knowing these instead of figuring it out by sporadic google searches like I usually do.

I am a software developer with 5 years experience working with Microsoft technologies (.net, sql server). I'd like to find more interesting work than creating web sites and desktop applications. I've checked some of the government job websites, but none list software development jobs. Surely the government has in-house software development?

I feel like such a fool for making all the choices i have. I feel i have destroyed my future beyond repair. I'm 22 have a useless associates degree and im also in a lot of debt (several thousand) from a college that had non-accredited programs(which i believed would advance my career goals), my employment history is bad and has a year gap, im now working a minimum wage job. My depressive state has pushed my friends and family away. A few months ago i was excited about going to a new college to get my cis bachelors, getting a development job. I was throughly enjoying my friends and family. I was outgoing and carefree. My biggest concern was my lack of gf. The school seemed to check out. Private, non-profit and i knew people with jobs from there. But it runs like a for-profit i found to my horror. Easy A's no education and no accredidation. I had been planning to go to the school since community college. I cant even go to my state university now. If i cant finish college, stuck at minimum wage and living at home i will not want to go on living. I hate myself for letting this happen, for the pathetic human being i've become. I feel like a disappointment to my family and i feel i have betrayed myself as well. My high school self would no doubt look at me in disgust. I'm tired of talking, i just want a way out.

Well anyways I wondering anybody ever paid back their loans or went on about their life?

I will be looking for a software development job when I graduate in May next year, and in this economy I am trying to cast a wide net. As such, I was wondering if anybody on the web has compiled a list of companies (especially tech companies) which traditionally hire the most new grad developers? Some "famous" places come to mind such as Microsoft and EA Games, but apart from these?

I have an interview on thursday and it is a web development job. We usually do not wear formal on daily basis when going to work as web developers. I do understand the necessity so you can be presentable. But my challenge is the interview is after working hours, i wil come from work and go straight to the interview. At my current job they are not aware about this. So coming in the morning being all formal is going to be rather questionable. Can i call the interviewing company and ask if i may come wearing just smart?
