 | I am basically an inside sales lead generation representative for software solutions. For those who aren't familiar with what that job entails - I cold call IT Directors and other decision-makers all day in an effort to qualify them as a lead by getting information about their budget, time-frame for implementation and need. (I don't actually CLOSE the sale, I just send the closer a qualified prospect).
I can handle the rejection, I don't mind calling people all day and I don't mind sitting at a computer all day in order to learn about information technology; the pay isn't bad either. What irks me is very basic and is very integral to sales in general - I don't like convincing people to do things they don't want to do. I do it reluctantly because it's my job, but when I get home I feel like I haven't accomplished anything, I feel like I've done people a disservice. Sure, there are times when a need fits perfectly with a solution - but let's face it - for those of us in sales we get most of our leads from people who are on the fence or who are not interested and that's how we prove our worth.
How can I get over this guilt and be more aggressive, more confident, and have more belief in my job? I feel like this attitude will get me fired and I am a recent graduate with not a lot of options; I need to stick it out here for at least a year. Can anybody give me a better business development philosophy .. anything to believe in and be motivated towards so I can get through this until I find my true passion?
Thanks a bunch.

 | I completed my A'levels. I had Maths, Biology and Chemistry. I'm trying to join a university. I was thinking about doing this IT course. It's only 3 years. Will I get any good jobs after completing this course? There's another course, Bachelor of Software Engineering. Which course would be better? And what kind of jobs am I most likely to get after completing them? For the info, I'm living in Australia.

 | I'm mainly talking about a director for ANIMATED TV shows, that don't have live acting and real camera use. How can you get experience for something like that as a student who has yet to start university, and has a busy lifestyle? Please ONLY answer if you are very certain, especially with career requirements like this, or (if possible) an actual director or director to be.

 | Hello everyone,
I am a recent graduate with a bachelors in business and technology management. I have been looking for work for the past few months as a business analyst, assistant project manager and a few others. I have been unsuccessful although I think I have a great resume, lots of experience and a good education.
The only jobs that I was able to find were with sales. However, with sales, I feel that my education is worthless. I do not see myself as a salesman.
My question is, what kind of positions should I be looking?

 | I'm in my first semester at a community college right now, just getting general studies. I HATE living at home though, so I was wondering if it would be a good idea to just get an associates degree in something and move to Chicago. Would there be ANY good jobs available? Or is it all for Bachelor degrees and up. I'm not interested in health care, but I'm looking into business/management.

 | And can you tell me more about this course? I've been thinking about it for some time now.
My first choice is actually Information Technology since I'm fine with it because it's a practical job and I'm alright with computers, but I want to try something different and also something I'm interested in.
I could say my artistic level is a little average, and I suck at drawing. Any thoughts/advice?

 | I am looking at either Army or Air Force. I am an ASCP licensed Medical Laboratory Technologist and got my bachelors degree in Medical Technology. Basically I am the person that runs all the blood, urine, tissue, microbiology, etc. tests on people.
I am working in a civilian hospital right now but not planning to stay at this job and the idea of being a military officer is really growing on me. I am 36 (a little on the older side) but other than that, I'm single (I have a girlfriend but never been married), no kids, excellent health, and never had any legal, substance abuse, or credit issues.
Who do you think would have the best program/opportunities for this medical job?

 | I'm older (36) and just got my Bachelor's Degree in IT. I plan on making a major career change.
