I'm a computer engineer in France and would like to work in Autralia. Is it easy or difficult to find a job there? Is it easy or difficult to obtain a visa for work? What are the rules to be able to work in Australia? Must I go there with all the money I could save? What's the best city in Australia to find a job and to live? Should I wait for the end of the crisis?

I got accepted to a college, UCSD, as a Math/Econ major, as its the closest to finance they have. However, I'm now unsure if this major can lead me to finance. I plan on minoring in accounting and computer science as well. After undergrad, I plan on taking a GAP year, and then getting a Masters in Finance, or a MBA with concentration in finance (if that is how the MBA even works...)

I love Physics. Especially Theories and Quantum physics and Nuclear science. I have always aspired to become a scientist (someone like Newton or Einstein. lol!) But I am not sure whether to study physics or engineering in college. I did not want engineering as I find it more interesting to learn about discoveries or hypothesis rather than inventions and applications. But will I get a decent job if I study Physics or will I get a higher salary if I choose Engineering. Please guide me. Thanks.

I am still in high school and I am strongly considering going into the career of a computer engineer. I was just hoping to receive some outside research or other knowledge of the job market for computer engineers these days. For example, whether the job market is in need of computer engineers or that market is closing. Any feedback would be appreciated!

My friends are planning to major in Bioengineering: Pre-med. But I can't figure out any information on what exactly it is and what can you do for a career with this degree? Plus, how high does a bioengineering degree pay and due to the economy right now, is it worth it to major in bioengineering? Or does Bioengineering degree just leads to future layoff?

Perhaps you decided to be a male nurse or primary school teacher? Perhaps you studied to become a female doctor or engineer, or trained to be a marine? If not you personally, perhaps someone you know. Have you been supported in choosing a career path that is unusual for your gender? Have you supported someone making an unusual choice? How has it worked out?

I've taken a computer principles class the first semester of my junior year of high school that covered the basics of quite a bit of computer science. After that class, I've become interested in pursuing a career in this field. However, my second semester (currently in session) I am taking a java programming class and I'm doing awful in it. I just can't seem to get a handle on it like some of the others students can. So, I would like to know if it is worth going to college to get a type of degree in Computer Science and if there are jobs or careers that i could find that don't include programming. Any help or input would be appreciated. Thanks.
