Mobile Cell Phone Application Developer Job Questions & Answers

Sort by:
News article on Yahoo: "Times are good for Web- and mobile-application developers. The number of online listings containing the keywords "HTML5," "Mobile app," and "Android," have skyrocketed over the past year, making them the fastest growing keywords in jobs posted online" Doesn't that mean only rich people who can buy Androids and other devices can get into the tech industry, and I should give up?

I really need a phone bad and it's between the evo and the iPhone 4. I like the evo cause it has 4g and it's customizable. But I like the iPhone cause of it's camera and because it's easy to use. Tell me which phone or you could tell me a better phone. I can pick any carrier. Thank you!!

First off, my dad wants to get something that he can check his email on the go on and "update his website". I am not sure if he would be able to do the second one on either of those. We don't have a cell phone carrier right now so getting a smart phone would be a bit of a hassle I think. He isn't really up to date with the modern technology. He knows more about computer programs and stuff from about 5-10 years ago. He hasn't really upgraded much of his stuff. So I think maybe a smart phone would be too much to handle? I don't know.. The ipod touch he can probably figure out because if he just wants to check mail he could but he would be restricted to wifi areas.. so... if he wanted to check it ANYwhere he would have to get a smartphone... I want him to get smartphone so then I can get a phone because I don't have one and my mom has a really old tracfone that has seen better days lol. I don't know how to convince him that he should get a smart phone. I know it has way more features than an ipod but... yeah. He would be paying more in the long run for a phone.. ALRIGHT so. What do you think? Should I try to persuade him to get a smart phone? I've got a couple reasons for that... Or do you think he should just get an iPod touch Right now.. for getting a smart phone ive got.. - check email anytime anywhere - me and mom both could use a new phone. keep in touch sorta thing - it could be his business phone/number rather than the landline thats it..

My boyfriend & I have been with verizon for 6 years now. We aren't super happy with the way they treat their customers we have only kept it so long because "everyone else has it" but now its getting to the point since all our friends moved away or are getting married & having babies we don't use the "in" calling at all. A few friends don't even have verizon any more. We both have ipod touches & LOVE them. We are thinking of switching to AT&T to get the iphone. But everyone we talk to that still has verizon is pushing the driod. (& the newest driod) Or the black berry. I was wondering what you thought was better? What phone & carrier you have? Any stories you want to share about any of the 3 phones? We pay about $135 a month for 2 plan boring phones with verizon. Just "in" calling on mine he uses about 100 mins a month. Plus text & pix on both. I heard with AT&T it would be about $150 a month for 2 iphones text/pix 700 mins to share, plus the internet on both. My boyfriend is unsure if he will go with the iphone because of his job, if he doesn't that puts us at $115 a month with AT&T iphone is not windows! I'm sold I hate windows we bought a apple computer 3 years ago & have yet to have a single problem with it. I was so against buying it because I grew up with windows. Now being on my parents windows computer I'm so mad with in 5 mins because it sucks its sooo slow. & its 3 months old. We have the same internet so its the computer (dell & gateway computers they have)
