I am from Sri Lanka. I am an Oracle Forms (6i to 11g Forms) Developer also very good in PL/SQL. My PR visa to Australia expires in a couple of months. I am having a hard time trying to decide whether to go or stay in Sri Lanka. A few of my fellow Oracle developers who migrated to Australia never got Oracle Forms or PL/SQL jobs. They are doing other types of jobs like in SW Testing and data entry. What are my chances of getting an Oracle Forms (or PL/SQL back-end developer) job in Australia??? How long will I have to hunt for a job?

I am registered for a class at my community college for SQL basics. I know a little about SQL. I work with Oracle's SQL developer in my day job. My question is this; Learning SQL will put me in line for a promotion soon but money is tight with a newborn. So, I am curious how hard SQL is to learn on my own rather than shelling out the $500+ for a college course. I am computer literate. I build my own and know hardware. I seem to have a pretty good grasp when it comes to software. I managed to teach myself Crystal Reports in less than a day and can already do basic queries with SQL Developer. It is Just the more complicated things like loops and pulling from multiple tables that trips me up. I also have many people in my office who are good with SQL and are willing to share their knowledge. I am interested in taking the class, but could use the money elsewhere for now. Thoughts?

I'm an Indian, OCP PL/SQL Developer and I did my MCA from Pune University considered prestigious in India. I'd like to know my opening salary considering no job experience. Would I be able to save a lot as I calculated my expenses to be around $60k, considering taxes to be around $24k per annum (as I expect a minimum of $70k)? I have seen it at PayScale.com but they have'nt considered MCA degree. http://www.payscale.com/research/US/Certification=Oracle_Certified_Professional_(OCP)_Dev/Salary/by_Years_Experience I'd like to know the estimated figures. What would be my salary if I hold a Masters in Computer Applications and a cert by Oracle (OCP PL/SQL Dev)? Please tell me the estimated salary
