What's a good way to find out about marketing/advertising, and what would be the best way to go about trying to get a job in marketing? I know some firms offer internships...And is there a difference between marketing and advertising? Also, I almost have my associates and am not completely opposed to getting a BS. But how important is a bachelor's (or masters) in getting a marketing job?

I'm wanting some information on a career as a webdesigner? I use to build websites as a kid for fun and I think it would be a good career fit for me. I"m wondering what the job market is like and how much is the pay range? Also, what about freelancing, couldn't you make some good extra money on the side doing that? I would be getting a associates degree, but do most decent jobs require a bachlors? Any information would be great, i'm trying to decide if I should go to college for webdesign. Thanks everyone I wanted to mention that the program at our local college for this is called Visual Communications..
