I heard about this job and it sounds like something I'd be good at. However, I don't know much about it. Could anyone explain what type of duties they have? What you need to learn to be come one? How much they get paid? Where are good places to look for a job? I'm bored with my career and am looking for a job change!

I am educated to degree level in fine art, have over 3 years experience in building e-commerce websites. Highly experienced in css, html, cms, SEO. I'm looking for web developer and designer jobs but have been offered 17k for one position. I do not feel this is fair. I was wondering if anyone else is a web developer with around 4 years experience in e-commerce and what they earn so I know what to be aiming for.

I'm looking to land that first front-end development role, but I'm quite unsure as to what level of competency is expected of Junior dev's (front-end). I don't have any commercial experience in web development (though I do in SEO/content-editing), but over the last year I have taught myself, to a pretty good standard, both HTML and CSS. I also have a fairly decent grasp of the JavaScript basics along with jQuery. On top of that I know a little PHP, but not yet too much, and know my way around Photoshop. I was just wondering, whether this kind of skill-set is adequate for a potential junior front-end developer, as I'm reaching that stage where I'd like to start applying for jobs! Any help is much appreciated! :)

I would like to be a website designer but am struggling a bit with the code aspect of it. Granted i have only just started to learn how to do it (literally- we touched on it yeaterday in class) but do you think it helps to have a good eye for design in this line of work. I am very creative and am trying to meld that into a good paying career ie. web designer ? Any thoughts people
