 | Alright so my dream job would to be a game programmer. Although I'd go for any kind of programming. My question is what language should I learn first. I am in high school so I have already taken some HTML but that's definitely not enough! :) Is there any recommended language I should learn like Java, Microsoft C++, etc. If so, is there any good tutorial books on that language and I don't mean like basic how to do stuff but some in depth programming in a sense where it'll teach me from start to finish. Basically the whole thing. If so, please state title and author. Thanks! :D

 | Just as the title says, I want to know the name of that career or job, because that is what I want to do in the future. I am thirteen years old and I love designing stuff and drawing houses and whatever I can come up with. I also love to photoshop things and edit video etc. What high school courses should I take and what subjects should I study or focus more on?
Also, is this particular job severely difficult to find and perform? Does it pay well if you work with a big company like Microsoft or Apple?
Thanks!

 | So I'm 15 but I'm thinking ahead and was wondering if I could get some help.
Can you go straight from highschool to a college where you get a bachelors degree or do you hv to have something else like an associates?
Also I want to take pre college classes at a community college to help when I go to college.
If I'm aiming at a bachelors degree in computer science what are some pre college classes I could take?
Also anybody know of really good colleges in Texas that specialize in computer science?

 | I have a job offer in which I would be working 3 main functions, doing financial analysis, marketing database development and maintainence, and working on marketing and operations projects. I currently have an analyst title (marketing research analyst), and would rather have a title that indicates a promotion, as it is a pretty hefty salary increase. The company has indicated they are flexible with they title, which they have named Senior Business Analyst. (the senior part doesn't do it for me in terms of showing what I would like to) I don't know if they would go for an AVP title, but if they would, AVP of what? Marketing and Finance? They do not have an AVP in either role currently, though they have a number of AVP's in other areas. They might be more apt to choose something in between Sr. Analyst and AVP. But what would that be? The position reports to the EVP/CFO and is under the Finance area. This is the banking industry. Thanks in advance!

 | I'm 17 years old, and a junior in high school. I have a passion for technology, and I would like to pursue a career that would best fit my skill set. I am a software kind of a guy. I admire good hardware design, don't get me wrong, but software is something that I could see myself working on. Unfortunately, I don't know how to code. I know coding is a big part of software engineering, and I am open to learning. I know I would definitely be good at designing the way software looks, not necessarily the way it works. I love mobile operating systems, so maybe I could get into that type of field. What should I do? Should I bite the bullet and learn to code? Also, what college(s) should I be looking into? Any help/ insight would be greatly appreciated!
My dream is to work for Apple, Google, or Facebook.

 | I am a waitress, bartender / shot girl, and he is a Sr. DBA (database administrator) A lot of people say it would be easy for him to find jobs in the IT field, what with all the casinos and hotels needing people to operate databases, and I'm sure a lot of jobs are open for someone in the food/drink industry. I can't stand the cold, or rain, or snow, or anything. I want it to be perfect/sunny all year long. But I'm worried that Vegas would be TOO hot? What do you all think? Also, I'm thinking of moving specifically to Henderson, which is close to the strip, but in the suburbs (at least that's what I've been told). Please give me your honest opinions! I appreciate it!

 | I am in eighth grade and I have really begun to think about my future. At one point I wanted to be a doctor, possibly an anestigiologist (not sure how to spell that) because I am interested in the body, but I don't want terribly excruciating hours. I am also very gifted in technology and might want to become a programmer. I love video games and was thinking I also might want to be an indie game designer. I am hesitant to all of these because I'm not sure if I will be able to handle the difficult schooling that comes with being a doctor. I also don't necessarily think ill love being a doctor, but I know they get paid a lot. I am scared of trying to be a developer or game designer because I might not be successful enough and I don't want to spend money to go back to school again. I also am not sure if my parents would approve of my choice of being a game designer. I have some great ideas for games, but I don't know how technology will evolve in coming years. I am pretty smart, getting mostly a's, but I think the pressure of med school. I think I would enjoy being a programmer much more, but I don't think I'll get paid much. Any suggestions and what classes should I take in high school for either one of my career paths?

 | Okay so heres my situation, im 13 years old turning 14 in a couple months. I just want to get a job as a programmer, eventually move out when im financially stable to handle my own needs, and go to Manhatten New York. Recentlu ive been looking at some jobs for programmers in New York to get an idea of how much money they make and its around 100k a year for a decent amount of experience. Honestly I love the city life, fast paced life. I really dont want to go to clubs, party, and get drunk almost every night like most kids think all that is, no, I want to be a productive member of society, not waste my life at a club when I can be out working to help the economy etc. So yeah what do you guys think?
