 | I want a career in engineering and i want this specific job.. what kind of courses should i take?
|
| |
 | Hi, I just finished my course and I would like to know (if you are/were a developer or if you have information about normal wages for a software developer)
So if you are in this area I would like to know your experience and if possible knowledge (programming languages know…if you have a college degree or not) and your wage please.
This is really important to me so I can see more or less how much will I earn in my life and how much experience I need to reach my goals.
Thank you very much

 | I'm 17 years old, and a junior in high school. I have a passion for technology, and I would like to pursue a career that would best fit my skill set. I am a software kind of a guy. I admire good hardware design, don't get me wrong, but software is something that I could see myself working on. Unfortunately, I don't know how to code. I know coding is a big part of software engineering, and I am open to learning. I know I would definitely be good at designing the way software looks, not necessarily the way it works. I love mobile operating systems, so maybe I could get into that type of field. What should I do? Should I bite the bullet and learn to code? Also, what college(s) should I be looking into? Any help/ insight would be greatly appreciated!
My dream is to work for Apple, Google, or Facebook.

 | I'm 48 and a Sr. Software Engineer at the country's biggest defense contractor. The benefits are pretty much to die for (I actually have a pension plan, and obvioulsy the typical 401k, and good health plan, 4 weeks vacation, 11 holidays) and they pay me a chunk of change (approx. $140k)....but the long nights and weekends and mental/physical stress are taking there toll. I've been at it since 1986 so have 23 years in. I'd really like to change jobs but really how can I walk away from this $$ and benies?? Any ideas?
