I have graduated recently (fresh graduate) with a B.sc in electrical engineering, so I wanted to know which is better to work as a system analyst under the IT department or to work as an automation engineer? Is it possible to switch from system analyst to an automation engineer afterwards? Notes: - They told me that they will teach IT from scratch. - I like both electrical engineering and systems analyst job. Both are interesting to me. - Both electrical engineering and system analysts are needed around the world in many fields. (Please I want the answers from experienced people from both fields)

I am looking for a systems analyst job, and I am having some trouble finding a good for my skills and abilities. I wanted to try and access other venues in my job search instead of computerjobs, career builder, dice, and other job search agents. I am not looking for a temp agency either, because I would like something a little more permanent. Any information or advice you could give, I would appreciate it.

If you are a system analyst, your main job is to design networks for other companies. Can you undertake 2 or 3 assignments or jobs at the same time? Is it normal for you to be handling 2 or 3 projects at one time? For example, you may have a big project that involves a big godown, another that involve a bank and a smaller third one that perhaps involves a small office. Can you be doing 2 or 3 operations at one go?

Okay I have been with a company for 3 years and it's getting to the point I can't take things anymore. I'm basically a database administrator, secretary, filing clerk, systems analyst, purchasing agent, and bookkeeper for AR and AP. I asked for a raise and actually got told I couldn't get one then the people whose job I was doing extra work for got raises and bonuses. Christmas recently came and went with nothing, no bonus, no congrats and I haven't had a raise now in over a year. So I was curious if other people were in similar situations and how they got a better job and left their current one easily. I'm going back to school to get certs for computers in addition to my working knowledge (A+, MCSA, MCSE) but I'm near my breaking point. Any ideas on how to keep my cool or a way to find another job quicker? I'm 29, so being young and doing real office work sucks in my area I get judged on my age more than my ability a lot. I saw that someone mentioned making a list. Unfortunately I have done that already and my boss just seems to believe what she wants to believe not what is actually going on. There is a lot of politics since I work for a smaller company as well.
