I am making a small database using excel VBA. Part of the program is having the user put in values to be added to specific accounts and then the user gets to select whether the value is a debit or a credit. I am trying to get a function that will add the total amounts of debits and display that in one box and then the total credits in another box. However, the program is displaying incorrect values.

My skill set is a little behind the curve (VBA, MS Access, decent SQL, limited Java) but I have a real aptitude for programming and everything I have learned has been on-the-job. How do I land a job in this situation? I basically need someone to give me a chance to come on board and learn for a short period of time before becoming an real asset. How do I beg without begging on my cover letter?

I'm taking a Computer Science class in college right now, so that's why I need to download one or the either. The prof mentioned we need MO 10, but wouldn't OpenOffice do the same job? Or is it organized differently (the layout) than MO? I've actually already got the pirated version of MO 10, but I was wondering which is the better idea here. (Another reason against the pirated MO is that I'd need to stop it from updating, because it could blow my cover) Thanks.

I'm interested in computers and what makes them work but I also would be interested in learning about finance and economics and possibly pursuing a career with that. Please help if you know anything about either of these such as how much money I could potentially make, job opportunities, what each will be like, recommended amount of schooling, etc. Thanks.

I am self-employed and work at home alone doing incredibly mind-numbing repetitious work on my computer for many years now. I have complete control over my environment - I can even watch movies in my home office while I work, or eat, drink, whatever...but the boredom is overwhelming at this point. Switching occupations is out of the question at this point in my life and I must 'soldier-on' with what I am doing. How do I keep from going stark-raving mad from boredom and still continue to make a living on this blasted machine? How do YOU cope with this? For those that haven't experienced this burnout yet you won't be able to help me. I need advice from someone that has reached the bottom and climbed back out - this kind of boredom on the job is more serious than people realize.

Is there a recruitment agency that finds jobs that you can do at home or are there any suggestions on what types of work can be done. I have previous experience in bookkeeping, administration and computer programming (VB, VBA and C++, but no practical experience in C++). I have seen some web sites but they sound like they are simply sales with commissions only which are dodgy (you know when they say "YOU CAN EARN 100K PER YEAR!!!") I moved from Australia to Italy and want to either find a remote job in Australia or Britain that I can do here??? It would be great to get jobs in Australia because the pay is 3 times more for the same job that I would do here in Italy :)
