Hello, I'm trying to apply for a front end web developer job here in London. I really good in HTML, CSS and JavaScript and have done some freelance work before. Problem is that many companies require work experience in this area and I only have small portfolio websites with some dummy companies I made up and websites I made for them. Can you give any advice on how to improve my cv, get any certificates online etc. To make employer believe that I am a good candidate.

Okay, I am going for a job interview soon for a Junior Web Developer job in the UK, I am 18 and have some good qualifications in the subject and good experience but when I went for a previous job I was asked "How much do you think you should be paid?" I hated that question and I want to be prepared in case I get asked in this interview. So does anyone know what the hourly rate for a Junior Web Developer in the uk is? Thank you.

Hi, I have a job interview for a web developer job this Friday. In the mail, they wrote "Please bring along any work or websites that you may have worked on". Now I'm wondering what format to use? I have my own website, there is a link to it on my CV so they should have that already. Should I print out pages from my website? Print copies of some of the code? Or put it on a USB stick or CD? thanks, Elaine

I know HTML, CSS, dreamweaver & html-ing a photoshop composition. I know there's probably a lot more to learn to be considered for a web developer position. So my question is, what are the skills to learn which more or less guarantee you strong consideration in at least an entry level job in the web developing industry? Or is this something that's always changing or something more dependent on your portfolio? Thanks!

I'm 1+ year experienced web developer, eu citizen. One week ago I decided to create my portfolio, which will contain projects, that will be made by me and I'll participate in. Moreover, I'm going to write tutorials and tricks on web development here. In the near future I would like to find a web dveloper job in UK. So, if there are some developers, who can tell me what really do I need (what kind of requirements, experience) to get a job here?! Thank you in advance.

I am looking for an entry level web developer job. Even though I have worked on a couple of websites. They were not database-driven websites. In order to show my employers that I have php and mysql skills. I am thinking about getting online certifications from Brainbench. Can I benefit from online certifications? Is that going to help me get a job?

I am currently a web developer, can I apply for web producer jobs and actually get hired? I know both of these jobs are distinct in terms of responsibilities but there are also some similarities. As a heavy technical web developer for ten years I think I can definitely get hired and handle a semi to non-technical job such as a web producer. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

I live in Fairfield County, Connecticut (about 1 hour North East from Manhattan). Also, I am studying to get a one-year-certificate in Web Development (not an Associate degree). How likely is it to find a job as an entry-level web developer with little or no experience? What tips do you suggest to find a job? If is it possible, could you tell me how long do they usually work? how is the environment? Is it a flexible job? Thank you so much.
