Im studying to learn C# right now, but most jobs that i see advertised are developing asp.net and not software development, i wanted to know how much C#, asp.net,css,htm and javascript would i need to learn in order to get a entry level job as a web programmer.

I am going to Santa Monica Community College to obtain a Web Programming Certificate for better income in the future. As a Web Programmer would I be able to eventually support a family on that income? Or is it more of a single guy job?

Which job would involve coding the back-ends of websites using PHP/MySQL? Is Web Programmer CSS, HTML, JavaScript/AJAX, and PHP Software Developer PHP, MySQL, frameworks, etc? Or have I got it wrong? I don't want to come up with ideas, I just want to code what other people tell me to. I'm not a creative person.

Hey, got a common problem, I was doing sport before so I was okay and kept loosing weight, now I dropped that sport and I have a web programmers job so I am sitting whole day, I noticed I gained weight, so i decided to eat less, what would you suggest to eat? I have bad habit for eating chocolate, and sweets, is there any alternative to sweets but less bad for you?

I'm from USA, and I received a working holiday visa to visit NZ. I am a web programmer, and I am wondering what the job situation is like in New Zealand. I have noticed that on the NZ job websites, technology jobs usually have the MOST openings.... what does this mean? Is there a shortage of IT professionals in NZ?

I'm a computer engineer from Mexico City. I've been working for 6 months as a java and web programmer to the largest cell phone carrier in Mexico. But I'm fed up with this country, I wanna move to Canada, specially to Toronto. I'm thinkin' of buyin' a 3-day round trip to Toronto, and the very first day start out to find a job, even as a dish washer. Is it possible to find a job within 3 days?. There'll be any chance to legalize my status in the future and work in the IT?

I came up with a website idea that I believe will become really successful. But I am more of a business person than a web programmer. what should I do to begin working this idea? should I hire someone locally to write the website or outsource the job overseas. what is the best option for the long term of this venture if it is actually going to become big?

I have some programming experience due to my job but web programming fascinates me and I want to learn it for fun,how difficult is it and what are the programming languages or scripting languages I must learn to be a competent web programmer. I have some idea of HTML and photoshop but all my previous web designing was done in WYSIWYG editors Any suggestions ? Thanks i am curious how do error codes and error messages deal with html programming,did you even read my question ?

I used to do some web programming.. I was really good at html, css, javascript.. Unfortunately I didn't take time to learn PHP. So I know it's a very competetive business and that there's a lot of web programmers who do it extremely cheap. Where is the best place to find some really cheap programmers but who still make a solid and good-looking job?

I'm really into the software side of IT and I'm wondering what the name of the job is where I can create web or desktop applications. I have a Job Guide Book and skimmed through to find all the jobs relating to IT. Out of: an IT analyst and an IT programmer, which job is the one that I should aim for. I live in Central America, And I know of very good web designers and programmers who – I bet -, would charge much less than in the States. All we need is bridge between producers over here and clients over there. But want to be sure about the price ranges.

I'm 17 and want to be a web programmer and designer, but I'm not interested in software development or learning everything about computers. I love html, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, RoR, Python, and ASP.NET. Also, are these considered "equivalents" if I were to apply for a job that required a CS degree or equivalent? Thanks.
