 | I gained my computer engineering degree 5 years ago, but due to many reason that I didn't pursue the career. I worked in the international trading industry
I always want to go back to the IT industry, I am interested in becoming a networking technician. But without any working experience, where should I start?
I know there are many certificates out there, and they are very helpful of getting a job. But what certificate should I get? And which one I should get first, and then next?

 | Heya! I'm a 15 years old girl and I live in London! I really really need to find a part time job and I can't wait untill I get 16. I am really creative and i LOVEEE nail art. I've done many art manicures to my friend and relatives and they say that i'm kindaa good at it. So there is a nail salon near my house and I was thinking to ask them if i can get a part time job there. So what i want to know is:
1) IS it possible for me to get part time job there.
2)Is it enough for me to have little experience just by making art manicure to my friends.
3) If it's possible, what kind of work can i get there?
4) What kind of questions should i ask them?
5) How to ask them about the job because im a little shy.
6) Can i come there to ask them by my self or i have to bring my parents with me?
7) How much could i be paid?
8) Is it likely that they will take me?
9) If i print out some examples of my art nail manicure work, would it help, would it be useful?
10)Maybe you have any additional advises or something to say.
THANKKK YOUUU SOOO MUCHHH for any information you know! I really need help here.. ;)

 | I am working at the Geek Squad at Best Buy and that is great, but it is only part-time, like 20 hours a week, and I have to drive about one hour to and from work. I am CompTIA A+ certified and have a Cisco networking background. I am planning on being Network+ by the end of the year and Cisco CCNA by April of 07.

 | I'll probably go into something completely separate from any computer science Major. I just took the test today and got a 665 and am retaking next week. I'll definitely pass next week considering i only studied 4 days for the test so I'm just curious as to how much it will help for college.

 | I am going to enlist, having a hard time deciding which branch to go with. if i go with air force i will try to get a job as a technical applications specialist, 9S100. was wondering if there is one and what the equivalent in the marines would be. i already know how selective the air force is regarding this specialty. i have not taken the EDPT or a practice EDPT but have scored 99 on three separate occasions taking the practice ASVAB. if i cant get 9S100, because it is unavailable, then i was looking into PMEL (2P031) or signal intelligence (1N431, 1N531). what would be the marine equivalents of these, if any?
9S100 - Technical Application Specialist (fancy name for a scientist)
2P031 - PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory)
1N431 - Network Intelligence Analyst
1N531 - Electrical Signals Intelligence Exploitation
9S100 - Technical Application Specialist (fancy name for a scientist)
2P031 - PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory)
1N431 - Network Intelligence Analyst
1N531 - Electrical Signals Intelligence Exploitation

 | I've been studying over the past couple of years and really want a career as a technician, but today I installed Windows Server R2 2008 and I cannot get to grips with it. I know some theory behind it... what the Domain Controllers, Active Directory, Server Roles & Features, network settings all are and the general idea behind them, but its getting them all to tie in together. I've made this computer a domain controller and given it a static IP address but when I go to connect a computer to the domain it states that the active directory DC cannot be contacted. Are these normal (teething) problems to be expected or am I going to have great difficulty?

 | I know automatically this is something I want to go for. Theres a year long program at a nearby "trade school" that ends your year with an internship...
What can I expect will be starting pay for this?
What ALL can I expect to be able to learn and do from this?
Theres also a nearby college that would let me transfer over and Get an AAS in Networking in another year.. How can this AAS degree compare the certificate...?
I posted this yesterday but didn't get really anything helpful, so I thought I'd try again.. If anyone thinks I'd have better luck elsewhere, please let me know where... lol
As for the school.. Again, its a trade school; Northwest Technical Institute. I would get my certification in under a year, then would have to complete a 160 hour internship. Then I could find a job. IF I wanted to further my education and turn that certificate into an associates degree, then this specific trade school has a partnership with the local community college.. I could, theoretically, transfer over, and in one more year have that associates.. I may wait to do that part...
But yea... My specific questions are above...
Thanks before hand! :D

 | I'm putting a network/pc repair toolkit together and I am finding that usually I am one if not more tools short for the jobs in question. The work is mainly standard Computer repair on hardware faults, resolution of software related problems on multiple platforms and networking/security support (on site).
Currently the kit I bring with me usually is as follows:
Bag
Netbook (dual boot windows/linux)
2 x wireless dongles (atheros and ralink)
All workstation Windows OS' and others
Software Diagnostic pack
50 piece toolkit including earthing strap etc
Portable SSD (128gb) hard drive
4x USB flash drives (8gb)
4x Video Adapters (vga->dvi etc)
Wireless mouse/soft-keyboard/headset
Usb DVD drive
Various cables (networking/AV)
I doubt ill be doing any 100 node roll-outs anytime soon, but I'm looking for an experience tech who can tell me about the vital items im missing if possible,
Thanks

 | Take in mind I have no job experience and this is for an entry level job.
Objective:Resort technician
Summary:I care very deeply for animals, and I hope to eventually have a life career as a Veterinary Assistant. I believe this position would be a great opportunity to get started in that field and gain experience in working with animals. I am perfectly comfortable with messy/cleaning tasks and I am aware that bites/scratches can and probably will occur. As a pet owner, I realize how important it is to be able to trust strangers with your pet, and I take that responsibility very seriously.
Education:Troy University in Montgomery
Currently working on Associate’s of Science in General Education with concentration in Business Administration.
Gatlin Educational Services
This is a personal enrichment Veterinary Assistant course I am completing online to expand my knowledge of the Veterinary office environment and animal anatomy.
Experience:I have no prior job experience, but I am very capable of working by myself or with a team to complete required tasks in a set time. In high school I was a library media aid. The experience taught me to complete a set list of tasks daily, how to interact and help other students (a lot of whom I was complete strangers with), and how to keep an area well organized and clean.
