Xslt Developer Job Questions & Answers

Hi, I have completed a course on php mysql recently and want to start applying for a job. I have a previous experience of 3 years on flex and xslt. I had to take a break for almost 2 years due to some personal reasons. I want to start over as a php developer. I have uploaded my resume on some job portals but the calls I am getting are for experienced php developer jobs. How do I specify in my resume that I am applying as a fresher for php but have a previous experience in other technologies? Any advice would be really helpful. Thanks in advance.

Hi, just like to ask those working out there what are the job prospect of a Flash actionscript programmer? Cause i look at the Singapore market, Flash programmers don't seemed to be valued very highly. Even with three years experience, the salary range seemed to be around $1800 for a diploma holder. And unlike sales, there's no visible "ranks" to climb except for being a junior programmer to a senior programmer. I've been working for two years now in different companies and I can't see much prospect sticking with actionscript or is there? Should I change to another language or switch to a new career path?

This question requires someone who is knowledgeable about the CIS (Computer Information Systems) industry and environment. I am a CIS major now in a state school. I will be graduating in a little over a year. It is my goal to someday become a systems analyst. I know a little bit of everything, like Visual Basic, html, C++, javascript, C#, Oracle, and php. I desperately want to get a job in CIS because I want to get my major career path started, and so I can use the information I learn on a daily and practical basis. However, I do not feel qualified in any one area to get a CIS job. So I want to work on sharpening my skills in one area. My goal is to work hard on focusing on this area, so that, in a few months, I can get an entry level CIS job. Can anyone make a recommendation, given my goals, as to what area/language/etc I should study and practice? NOTE: I don't want to hear about the new trend in the future, I want to hear about what would get me a job today if I had the skill. I am enrolled in a state university. How do I contact human resources in my school?

I was laid-off three months ago from a Fortune 500 company where I was a Java Developer. I'm having trouble finding a new job as I don't have experience in Spring, Hibernate, JSF, or EJBs. The application I worked on was archaic and although I have experience in Java, J2EE, Java Persistence, Servlets, JDBC, WebSphere, XSLT, XML, JavaScript, AJAX, IBM DB2, SQL I can't find a job. I was wondering should I apply for an internship even though I have 20-month on the job experience + 1 internship with another Fortune 100 top companies to work for + Bachelors of Science from an accredited University?
