I work part time as an EMT in a private ambulance company. A friend of mines who is a event staff manager said he needed some EMT for his events. These events range from private parties, concerts, night clubs and community events. I want to know if its appropriate in Islam to work at these events as an EMT providing first aid. I've gotten mixed answers from people. An EMT is a Emergency Medical Technician certified by his/her state health department to provide basic life support in a pre-hospital setting.

I currently work as an events manager for a college and am starting to enjoy my job less and and less as I feel like I have little job security and very little work to do, I would like to change to being a secretary or even a PA but dont know how to go about making the switch, I used to be pa to my boss when I was a marketing assistant a few years back so I have the skills but so many companies now are looking for audio typing and shorthand which I dont have, what can I do? I have little cash free to take classes, is it worth applying for jobs anyway and seeing what happens? I should explain more, my role has changed to include a large amount of sales, I need to generate a certain amount of income which is becoming hard to attain due to too many factors in the way, I simply want to find myself a position away from this where I can simply go in and get on with it without worrying where the next booking is coming from and fretting that I havent made this months target

I am working for a job that has a 1 year evaluation period after which my employer decides if they wish to keep me or not. I won't be able to handle my supervisor for much longer than that but I want to get a year of experience in as a manager at my job first. How do I apply for a new job without them wanting to contact my current supervisor who I know will opinionate a less than favorable assessment of my work although I am a hard worker and good at what I do? Will my future employer NEED to contact my supervisor or is there someone who knows the best way to handle a situation of this type? Thank you for your advise and God bless!

I went on an interview 4 weeks ago, and was called back a week later for a second interview. Both interviews went extremely well. The manager even said "I'm very happy, we'll be in touch" at the end of our meeting. I then wrote a follow-up email thanking him for his time, and re-iterating why I'd be a good fit for the company and that I was excited for the possibility of becoming a part of their design team. It's been almost 3 weeks now since that second interview and I haven't heard anything from them. I want to write an email inquiring if the position has been filled, just to see if I am still in the running but I don't want to sound needy or desperate. Can you give me any ideas of how to start the email? It's a kitchen & bath design position, if that helps. Thanks :)

I've also considered event planning but want to have something as a backup in case things do not work out. Will I be able to have any of these careers listed if I major in accounting and minor in finance? I am planning on getting an MBA
